I had so many amazing applications for my 2026 Brand Ambassador Team, and choosing one was so hard.

I’m excited to introduce my final Brand Ambassador: Jade and her big boy Jeff!

Jade competes at BE100, with some amazing achievements including winning at Blair Castle and competing at Badminton Grassroots.

I’m so excited to be supporting them this season so make sure to follow their journey over on Instagram 🤎

Firstly, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who applied to join my Brand Ambassador Team. The decision was extremely difficult, and I’ve honestly been so overwhelmed by the amazing support and applications that I received. It means so much to see so many people wanting to be part of my brand and support what I do. 🤍

With that said, I’m so excited to introduce our first Brand Ambassador: Lily and her horse Miss Daisy!

Lily and Daisy currently compete at BE90 and are aiming to step up to BE100 this summer, which is such an exciting goal.

Lily loves sharing their journey over on Instagram, so make sure to go and give them a follow .daisy_eventing

I’m so excited to have Lily and Daisy as part of my team and I can’t wait to see what the future holds 🤍

I’ve seen a lot of horses hold tension around the scapula, especially in ridden horses.

The scapula plays a huge role in your horse’s movement. It forms the top of the forelimb, and is attached to the rest of the body by a sling of muscles that suspend it against the ribcage.

This muscular sling, also known as the thoracic sling allows the shoulder blade to protract and retract, helping your horse extend forward, absorb impact, and maintain balance through the forehand.

Because the scapula relies on surrounding muscles, tension can easily build up in this area. Factors such as workload, posture, saddle fit, repetitive movement, or compensation from other tight areas can cause the shoulder blade to become restricted. When this happens, it may affect stride length, freedom through the shoulder, causing compensation through the rest of the body.

A scapula release is a soft tissue technique used to help relax the surrounding muscles and encourage the shoulder blade to move more freely. By reducing tension in this area, it can help improve mobility, comfort, and quality of movement for the horse 🤍

🌟Baited Stretches🌟

Baited stretches are an easy way to improve flexibility, posture, and overall comfort, when done correctly. Three examples shown in this post:

✨Nose to shoulder
✨Nose to mid barrel
✨Nose to flank

Please only stretch warm muscles. Always do these after work, groundwork, or at least 5–10 minutes of movement. Never on a cold horse straight out of the stable, as you are likely to do more harm than good!

What correct stretches should look like ✅
✨Horse standing square as possible
✨Smooth, controlled bend, avoid jerky movements
✨Body stays still. We do not want to see stepping away or swinging quarters
✨Soft eye, relaxed breathing
✨Horse reaches willingly
✨Ears remain level and relaxed, as soon as the horse tips their ears towards the ground they are not giving a correct stretch

If your horse shows any signs of avoidance or struggle, return to an easier position as we want quality over depth.

When not to stretch 🚫
✨Your horse is cold
✨There is acute injury or pain
✨Your horse shows resistance or discomfort
✨You’ve been advised to rest by your vet or therapist

Baited stretches should feel easy and controlled. Done little and often, they can make a huge difference to your horse’s comfort, mobility, and performance 💛

Welcome to Muscle Monday, where your horse’s anatomy meets performance insights 💪

Week 10: Subclavius Muscle Edition 🔥

📍 Location:
The subclavius muscle lies deep at the base of the neck, running from the sternum to the fascia on the inside of the forelimb. It forms part of the thoracic sling that helps suspend the trunk between the forelimbs and sits just beneath the pectoral muscles.

⚙️ Function:
Supports the trunk between the forelimbs
Stabilises the shoulder during weight bearing
Assists in drawing the limb backward
Helps absorb concussion on landing
Plays a huge part in forehand stability

🐎 Ridden Work:
A healthy subclavius allows your horse to:
Move freely through the shoulder
Maintain stability in the forehand during transitions
Carry weight more comfortably in collection
Land softly and push off efficiently
Stay balanced during turns and lateral work

⚠️ Signs of Tension:
Short, choppy forelimb steps
Reluctance to lengthen the stride
Heaviness or leaning on the forehand
Difficulty with downward transitions
Reduced shoulder freedom or stiffness turning

🛠️ Common Causes:
Repetitive work on the forehand
Sudden increases in schooling intensity
Poor posture or lack of core engagement
Compensation for hindlimb weakness
Ill fitting tack restricting the cranial pectoral region
Inadequate warm up or recovery
