Mary Bridget FRANKLAND (née Brady) R.I.P. Died 5th November 2025 peacefully at home, 7 Tollymore Cottages, Middle Tollymore Road, Newcastle BT33 0JH. Dearly loved wife of the late Peter Frankland, loving twin sister of Helen.

Will be sadly missed by her sorrowing nieces, nephews, neighbours and entire family circle.

Her remains will repose in M.J. Sawey and Sons Chapel of Rest, 9 Bryansford Avenue, Newcastle BT33 0AX. Family and friends welcome.

HARPER James Joseph (Jim) late of 32 Bryansford Gardens, Newcastle and formerly of Slievenalargy, Kilcoo died 7th October 2025 peacefully at home cared for by his family. Dearly beloved husband of the late Frances, beloved son of the late Jimmy and Agnes, brother of the late Fr. Francis and the late Sr. Mary (Assumption Order), loving father of Patricia (Matthew), Seamus (Lindsay), Marie-Thérèse and Stephen (Ailbhe), and loving grandfather of Arran, Eliza, Róise, Saorlaith, Erin, Caitlin, Fodhla and Patrick. Jim will be sadly missed by his entire family circle.

Requiem Mass at 10am on Thursday 23rd October 2025 in St. Malachy's Church, Kilcoo followed by interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Jim's remains shall repose in M.J. Sawey & Sons Chapel of Rest, 9 Bryansford Avenue, Newcastle, BT33 0AX. Family and friends welcome to visit the Chapel of Rest between 3pm and 8pm on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025.

MCKAY (nee Ward) MaryRose (formerly of Gargory) who died 24th September 2025 peacefully at the Downe Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late John, much loved by her children, Paul, Sean, David, Rosemary, Clare, Danielle and Angela, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

May she rest in peace.

MaryRose’s remains will repose at her daughter’s home 64 Wateresk Road, Maghera BT31 9EZ from 12noon to 8pm Thursday and Friday.

Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Saturday 27th September 2025 in St Patrick’s Church Gargory followed by burial in the Cemetery of the Immaculate Conception Leitrim.

Lennon Family Acknowledgment

The family and friends of the late Pat Lennon wish to thank all those who sympathised with them following Pat’s passing. Thanks to our friends, neighbours and everyone who called at the house and wake to show their support. Thanks to those who travelled to join us at Pat’s funeral which was a beautiful testament to his great life.
We will be forever grateful to Pat’s friends who visited him particularly over the past few years at home and in Slieve Dhu Nursing Home and to those family and friends who were with Pat in his final days – providing much comfort and support to him.

We are grateful to the Doctors and staff of Clough Surgery for their care for Pat over a long number of years and particularly over the last few years. Thank you to the carers who looked after him in his own home before he moved into Slieve Dhu Nursing Home where the staff provided such care, love and support to Pat over the few years and particularly in his last few days, we will be forever indebted to them for this.

Thank you to Canon Robert Fleck who attended Pat each week and gave him so much spiritual support particularly in his final days and for the beautiful Requiem mass, also many thanks to Finbarr Keaveney for providing the music accompaniment during the Mass.

A special word of thanks to the members of Dundrum GAC both young and old who formed the Guard of Honour outside the church and in the Gaelic field.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff at Sawey’s Funeral Directors for their guidance and professionalism throughout the wake and the funeral.

Thanks also to Aughlisnafin for the use of the Hall after the burial and to Frenchie’s Clough for providing the food and refreshments after the burial.

Pat’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Friday 29th August 2025 at 7.30pm in Sacred Heart Church Dundrum.

Much loved mother of Diana, Robert & Aishleen. Dear Mother-in-law of Gemma & Caolan. Devoted Nanny of Tiarnán, Lughán, Brián, Aoífe, Níamh, Caoímhe, Lily & Finn. Month’s Mind Acknowledgement for the late Colm Truesdale

His brothers, sisters, daughter, granddaughter and the extended family circle of the late Colm Truesdale RIP wish to express our deepest and most sincere thanks to everyone who supported us and shared in our sorrow following the heartbreaking loss of our beloved brother, father, grandfather, and uncle.

We are truly grateful to our family, friends and neighbours who surrounded us with love and kindness - those who visited our home, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, messages and flowers, provided food and offered comfort in countless thoughtful ways. Your presence helped to lighten our burden, and we were very grateful for your company and to hear your lovely memories of Colm.

Sincere gratitude and a heartfelt thank you to Fr. Jim Crudden PP for celebrating Colm’s Requiem Mass and for his comforting words and prayers, which brought us great solace.

Special thanks also to Finbarr Keaveney, Emma Rice and Daniel Truesdale for the beautiful singing. Your talent in delivering the funeral hymns truly added a special touch to the Mass, and helped create a meaningful and memorable tribute to Colm.

Our sincere thanks to Miceal Sawey of MJ Sawey & Sons Funeral Directors, Newcastle, and to Michael McClelland and his team who oversaw and co-ordinated preparation of the family grave. Husband of the late Nora (Australia), Son of the late Ned and Annie. Brother of the late Ada and Kate. Cherished Uncle of his Nieces and Nephew, close friend of Rab, Gregory and families.
Pat was a great friend to many.

Pat will leave his late residence at 10.15am for funeral mass at 11am on Friday 25th July 2025 in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Dundrum. Burial to follow in the cemetery of the Immaculate Conception, Aughlisnafin.
