🤩We are delighted to introduce the newest member of our lovely team, Consultant Dermatologist, Dr Al-Shammari.

Dr. Al-Shammari is a Consultant Dermatologist and the Lead for Skin Cancer and Dermatology Audit Projects at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds. He completed his specialist training in dermatology in 2000 and has been practicing as a consultant since that time.
He has trained and worked in several countries, gaining broad experience in the management of inflammatory skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis, skin infections and others), as well as neoplastic skin diseases (skin tumours and cancers). He also has extensive expertise in dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Al-Shammari has published research in leading journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Journal of Dermatopathology, as well as local publications.
Alongside his clinical and research work, he is actively involved in teaching. He delivers clinical training and educational sessions to Cambridge University medical students, internal medicine trainees, junior doctors, and nurses.
Dr. Al-Shammari is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and a former Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, reflecting his longstanding engagement in international dermatology networks.

We’re kicking off our Meet the Team series with the incredible woman behind it all — our founder and Clinical Director, Christina Param-Phillips 💛⁣

Chrissie qualified as a Registered Adult Nurse back in 2009 and spent several years working in surgical wards and emergency care. It was during this time that her passion for skin and wound care really began to grow.⁣
⁣
From there, she went on to work as a Specialist Nurse in wound care and at a renowned Harley Street aesthetics clinic — before following her dream and opening The Medical Skin Clinic in 2016. Two years later, the Newmarket clinic was launched, and the rest is history!⁣
