Important information

We are running our final Saturday flu clinic today. If you have received a letter from us and are eligible for a flu vaccine please call down today between 9 and 1. We are also running a fluenz clinic for our 2-3 year olds between 1 and 2 so again if you have been invited or have a child between the age of 2-3 please call down to see us today.

Another great turn out today for our over 65s flu clinic with over 600 patients attending. We have catch up clinics running through the week so if you are over 65 and not yet had a flu vaccine please call the surgery.

Also a special thank you to all the staff who gave up their Saturday to help run the clinic, we appreciate your hard work ###

Flu Information

We are running a large flu clinic tomorrow for all 65 - 74 year olds. If you have received your letter please bring it with you. If you are between this age range and have not had a letter and would like your flu vaccine please come down between 9.00am and 1.00pm.

We have had a lot of patients asking about the Covid Vaccine, please note this year the guidance for who can have the vaccine has changed and we are only able to vaccinate over 75 year olds and those patients who are severely immunosuppressed. We are running mop up clinics for these during the week so if you are over 75 and would like your Covid vaccine please give us a call.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

It's that time of year again when we invite patients in for their Flu and Covid vaccines. We will be running large Saturday Clinics and you will be receiving your letter inviting you in over the next few days.

Please note Saturday 4th October, will be a mixed Flu and Covid Clinic, the guidelines for who is entitled to the Covid Vaccine is very strict and can only be given to over 75s and those who are deemed as severely immunosuppressed. We will not be able to give the Covid Vaccine to anyone who falls outside of these cohorts.

If you are unable to attend your appointment on the date given please contact us to rearrange.

Finally, make sure you bring your invite letter.

Please note we will be closed from 11.30 today for Dr Yule's funeral.

He will be making his final journey past the surgery at approximately 1.15 so if you would like to wish him a final farewell please start to congregate from the bottom of Durham Road by Boots right up to the surgery. We are trying to ensure that there is enough room on Stafford Road so we have put chairs out to stop people parking there. If you are parked at the lower end of Stafford Road near the surgery if you could move your car we would be grateful as it will ensure clear passage for Dr Yule and the family cars. Can we ask that the gates be kept clear for staff please?

It is going to be very warm today so please stay safe.

Finally I would like to thank our patients, fellow surgeries, The Health Board and everyone who has reached out to us, in recent weeks, it has meant the world to us and we really value the love and support we have received. Today is going to be a really difficult day but having this support will help us all.
