Today we framed our Christmas Memorial Tag Display.

All of the memorial messages, completed by the families who attended our Christmas Memorial Service in December, have now been carefully added into a frame, so those special memories and messages can always be remembered.

Each year, following our memorial service, the tags will be carefully framed and displayed so the memories and messages shared by families can always be remembered and honoured. 🤍

Much loved Wife to Gordon. Loving Mom to Tania and Fay. Adored Nanny to Scott, Ross, Maria, Finlay and Joseph. A great-nanny to Lena.

Funeral Service, 12noon, Tuesday 10th February 2026 at St. Peter & St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Newport. Followed by Interment at Newport Cemetery.

Black dress optional. Colourful clothing preferred.

Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.

The family ask that where possible, please let them know if you’re likely to attend the funeral reception.

Funeral Cortege Update

Dear Community,

I just wanted to share an update for the funeral cortege route tomorrow, for the funeral service of Lesley Green.

The cortege will travel through Newport High Street at around 12.30pm. Then to pause outside Newport Infant school for around 12.35pm. The cortege will then arrive outside Newport Junior School, Avenue Road for 12.40pm.

Newport Junior School have asked the community to be mindful of parking on Avenue Road tomorrow between 12.30pm and 1pm.

For those who wish to attend the funeral of Lesley, please see below details shared by St. Andrews Church. Particularly around the parking arrangements.

On Monday we will release a confirmation of the funeral cortege route and timings for those who wish to pay their respects.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Lesley's funeral will be held at 1pm on Tuesday 20th January 2026 at her beloved St Andrew's Church, where she has so faithfully and prayerfully led worship and church life for so many years.
PLEASE NOTE: St Andrew's has a limited capacity and many attending will be required to stand. When the church is full, attendees will be directed to the Church Hall, where the service will be live-streamed. Additional seating and standing room will be available there.
