💧 Body Lymphatic Drainage Massage
What is it?
Body lymphatic drainage massage is a specialized, gentle treatment that helps stimulate the body’s lymphatic system, a vital part of your immune and detoxification network. This rhythmic, light-pressure massage encourages the natural movement of lymph fluid throughout the body, helping to remove toxins, reduce swelling, and promote overall health and vitality.
🌿 How It Works
The lymphatic system sits just beneath the skin and plays a key role in maintaining fluid balance, supporting immunity, and clearing metabolic waste. Through soft, wave-like strokes and gentle pumping motions, the therapist stimulates lymph flow toward the lymph nodes, particularly in areas like the neck, underarms, abdomen, and groin, helping the body flush out excess fluid and impurities.
Unlike deep tissue or Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage uses very light, rhythmic movements that never cause pain or muscle soreness. The focus is on encouraging circulation and detoxification, not deep pressure, and will not relieve muscle tightness
Oil isn’t used in manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) because it works by manipulating the skin's surface, not the muscle
