COMMUNITY MONDAY
We started our day by delivering Poppy crafts to the fisheries office, Portavogie Primary School and Nursery Unit, Rocky Acres residential home and Kirkistown Primary school. The boys enjoyed giving out hugs which everyone loved 😁
Back at the hub Bryan HT came up in his lunch break to do some flower arranging with us. Llewellyn is still bitter about not winning the last flower arranging competition so wouldn't join in but CJ was the winner this time but it was a close race as they were all beautiful. 💐 After lunch we started our Christmas craft prep. Llewellyn and CJ went to deliver craft items to June that we had prepared for the BB so Janine and the boys pumped up the Christmas music while they were away 🎄🎶
Mandy and Connie called up with a donation for our Christmas appeal and Connie got roped into doing a bit of painting.
The lesser spotted Janine made an appearance while we were listening to war time songs and had a little waltz with Callum & Sam lol 💃
All fun and games at East Coast as always.

TAKE 5 FOR WELLBEING
This week we thought a lot about how fortunate we are and how some other people might not be so lucky for different reasons. We talked about how we felt at Christmas when we got lovely gifts and how some people might feel if they get nothing. We are supporting The Warehouse Newtownards in their Christmas appeal and we have decided to focus on teenagers and plan to make up Christmas gift parcels for them as often the donations are for smaller kids and the teenagers get overlooked. Anyone wishing to donate new items that might be suitable please get in touch. Also we can take donations of gifts for other ages and pass them onto The Warehouse Newtownards.
The young people are making Christmas crafts and will be selling them at our Christmas coffee morning and they have decided to use some of their money to buy gifts for the appeal so we had a session where we talked about useful things to buy and made a list. We feel it's important for our young people to learn to think of others and give back where possible and they really do embrace this and make us proud.

FRY FRIDAY
We started our day with our dancercise class where Erin gave everyone a rendition of 'fresh prince of Belfast' before the class started. For anyone who hasn't witnessed this you don't know what you are missing out on. Then the boys went for their Friday fry and Erin headed into Exploris. Back at the HUB we had a bit of chill time watching a movie. After lunch we headed to Ballycopeland windmill to a Wee Critters event where we got to see and hold lots of creatures. It's a good job the lesser spotted Janine wasn't there because she would have let everyone down by screaming when the spiders came out. Poor Llewellyn nearly brought home a poisonous toad when it took a liking to her handbag. Another fab day of fun and laughter at East Coast.

HALLOWEEN PARTY DAY
Today we started by talking about The Warehouse Newtownards Christmas appeal and making a list of items that might be useful for teenagers. Anyone wanting to donate get in touch.
We then started the party, we had some spooky skittles, ducking for apples and a disco where there was lots of fun learning the time warp.
We delivered some cake to our neighbours in the rain. ☔
We had just got the pizzas out of the oven when we got a few visitors which was lovely. When everyone left we had a movie afternoon.
Big thanks today to Frances Hazel for donating loads of Halloween treats, the Warehouse Newtownards for their continued support and providing our cake and also to Andy Little who got each participant a Highland cow after Erin admiring the one in their office. We are part of such an amazing community. 💓

CHRISTMAS APPEAL.
We are supporting The Warehouse Newtownards Christmas appeal.
We are looking for new items for teenage boys and girls as they are often forgotten about. We have included a list of ideas but anything is much appreciated.
Items can be dropped at our HUB or at Llewellyn or Janine house and also Johnny from PO Portavogie will have a collection box. We can call to collect locally if needed, send us a wee message.
It's good to give back. 🎄🎁

WELLBEING WEDNESDAY
Today we had a fun day out at the folk museum. We took part in the murder mystery where we were encouraged to find the clues and to interrogate the suspects. Erin took this very seriously so much so we think she might be suitable for a job in Castlereagh holding centre 😂 For lunch we headed to King Street Kitchen in Bangor - we can highly recommend the food and the warm welcome from Aaron Hanna &co.
Erin wanted to visit the Replay shop to check out her next purchase and the boys did their shopping for tomorrow's Halloween party then they wanted to go for a lovely autumn walk in Ward park. The lesser spotted Janine made an appearance today for a little dance at the folk park then turned up at Ward park and the boys had a leaf fight with her- safe to say the boys won!!!! She is away home gutters to the eyeballs!! Hahaha 🤣 many laughs were had in the making of the video 😂

TRAVEL TUESDAY.....
SECRET MISSION.....
SECRET LOCATION.....
FANTASTIC DAY!!!!!
Today we were invited to a film set at a secret location so we can't put pics or info up until the film is released. We got to see round lots of the trailers where the magic happens like costume and makeup. We saw where all the cast go when they aren't filming. We had a lovely lunch made by the on-site catering team and enjoyed it in the hospitality bus. We got to meet some of the cast and crew. We are allowed to put this picture of us with award winning director Jordan Downey. Massive thanks to everyone for making us so welcome and for taking the time out of your busy day to show us so many things. Hopefully this won't be our last time mixing with the rich and famous 😜

COMMUNITY MONDAY.
Well today was really busy busy even by East Coast standards. We started with giving the shoes we had paired to Bryan to go to the container. Aaron and Rebecca from the neighborhood police came to visit us and we had a cuppa and a chat with lots of laughs, we tried on some kit and even went for a drive in the police car with the lights and sirens on. Fantastic morning hearing all about policing and chatting about issues.
Doherty Electrics were at the HUB fitting our new heater so we headed out for a walk to give them peace 🤣. We had a TV lunch today because everywhere was upside down. Joyce and Elaine came after lunch to do a first aid course and we learnt CPR. It was very informative and very very funny. Poor Peter got roped in as our patient and was a great sport. The fun continued with a water fight with syringes - Llewellyn started that one but we all had great fun. Thank you to everyone for coming today and making it a great day.
