Kevin and Jenny had a brilliant chat about one of the biggest stereotypes in care, that support is only for the elderly.

The reality? Care is for anyone who needs a helping hand. 🫶🏼

At Unique, our team supports people of all ages. From younger adults who need a bit of reassurance, to those living with different health conditions, and of course older clients too. Every day is different, every person is different, and that’s what makes the job so rewarding.

And as Kevin said… sometimes the younger clients bring a wee bit more vibrancy about the place! 😄

✨ Part 1 of Xanetia’s story | Faces of Unique

🩷For Xanetia, care was something she’d already experienced while at uni — and loved.

But like many people working in care, the pace and pressure eventually meant she needed to step away for a while.

Xanetia wasn’t planning to return to care after moving into hospitality at the airport… but when she saw a bank staff role at Unique Home Care NI, she thought “that sounds a bit like me.”

She planned to just try a few shifts.

6 weeks later she signed a full-time contract.
