Another year is nearly over, and what a year it’s been!
We can all copy and paste, or even ask good old CHATGPT to create our wild and wonderful posts but sometimes, it simply has to come from the heart.
Christmas is a time for counting our blessings and looking around at those in our lives. And while I’m an RM and a director, I am also a daughter, a wife, a mum, a mum-in-law, a nanny, a sister, an auntie, a cousin, a niece and hopefully a friend to many. These are my most important roles.
Yes, over the years they have often had to come second to my job, but truthfully, I don’t think I would change a thing.
To my team of seniors can I ever thank you enough?
You have held me up, supported my madness, and helped drive Unique to the top.
To our care staff many come and go, and it’s the nature of the job. Some love the 1-1 support, some love the runs, and some love the time we give to actually care and build relationships. Some don’t and choose to work in fast-paced environments and you know what? That’s okay.
Whatever company you’re in, whatever style of care you deliver, just do it well. Recognise and understand the needs of those we care for. Know that clients, like staff, are all different , so are their needs. And it’s okay to prefer one area of care over another. Those care needs exist everywhere, and your skills are so needed throughout the sector.
I know I speak for my team when I say we see you, we hear you, and we appreciate every hour you invest in us.
Now go and enjoy your Christmas. Spread a lot of love while you’re at work too, for I’ve no doubt it’s needed in this crazy world, now more than ever.
Love,
Debbie 🎄❤️
