Hi, I will be facilitating Children's Mindfulness events at the Nork Community Centre on Wednesdays throughout the summer holidays.
I know the summer holidays can be a long time to keep a child entertained, Children’s Mindfulness Club provides a space for children to put down technology, connect with themselves and socialise with a small group of others in engaging activities, games and exercises designed to help children cultivate calmness, emotional resilience, manage stress, improve focus, and enhance their overall well-being, whilst providing their adults with 3 valuable hours to focus on their own well-being.
At Kids Mindfulness Club children will develop an understanding of:
· Understand and manage their emotions using a range of techniques such as mindfulness, movement and breath work
· Relaxation techniques through meditation and sound
· Forming valuable connections and friendships
· How their brain works
· Building resilience for difficult times
· How to share and get along with others
· Finding value in both differences and similarities in others
· Communicating effectively
· How to look after their bodies with food, exercise and sleep
· Exploring their creativity and imagination
· Improve focus and concentration using the senses.
Who will be taking the sessions?
· Hi I’m Lisa, I have over 2 decades of experience working with primary school children, 7 years of teaching and training in Mindfulness, Meditation and Breathwork and am currently training as a psychotherapist.
· I am DBS checked and fully insured.
