๐Ÿ’ก Did you know? A heart attack and a cardiac arrest are not the same thing.

Knowing the difference and how to respond in each situation could save a life.

This month, help spread awareness and make sure more people know what to do in an emergency. โค๏ธ

Another reason to come learn CPR, im going to be looking at setting up monthly sessions, please be aware that i dont have much play with time slots as i get my regular venue free thanks to Normanton Town Council as im providing the sessions for FREE

Would you know how to respond in an emergency?

Drivers are often first on the scene when someone suffers a cardiac arrest, meaning that knowing CPR could save a life.

If done effectively, it can more than double the chance of someone surviving a cardiac arrest, which is why from 2026 the theory test will include CPR and defibrillator questions.

As part of the changes, car and motorcycle theory test candidates will need to familiarise themselves with CPR techniques and how to use automated external defibrillators.

Proud to be presented with a community champion award for my volunteering to the people of Normanton. From my previous CFRing, my cpr and defib sessions and assisting with local charity events.

27/05/2025

Proud to have been nominated for Community Champion Award for Normanton Town Councils awards. Thank you to those that have nominated me and thank you to all those that have attended my cpr events in the past and those in the future. More events will be listed soon, its busy season so getting equipment, space and a day off normal work is a juggling act

๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’” Ladies, apparently your b***s are a barrier to CPR. Literally.

New research shows women are less likely to receive CPR in public because some folks are worried about touching breasts during chest compressions. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

A third of men said they fear being accused of "inappropriate" touching during CPR. Meanwhile, the woman in cardiac arrest is lying there like, โ€œTouch the b**b, Dave โ€“ Iโ€™m dying, not flirting.โ€

Thankfully, there's hope! The new Prestan Female CPR manikin is here to help change that. Sheโ€™s b***y and educational โ€“ designed to improve confidence during CPR training and help close the gender survival gap. ๐Ÿ‘

Because letโ€™s face it, if itโ€™s between awkward hands or an undertaker โ€“ we know which weโ€™d prefer.

๐Ÿซ Compression > confusion. Letโ€™s save lives, not dignity.

๐Ÿ“ขPatients with asthma are reminded: Overusing blue inhalers is linked with an increased risk of severe asthma attack

โœ”๏ธ Use your preventer (anti-inflammatory) inhaler daily as prescribed

โŒ Donโ€™t rely on the blue inhaler alone

๐Ÿ—ฃ Speak to your doctor if you need your blue inhaler more than twice a week

Seek urgent medical help if your symptoms are not relieved.

Any suspected side effects should be reported through our Yellow Card scheme ๐Ÿ”— https://bit.ly/2A6B165
