A great result for Pam after a few months of setbacks.

I’ll admit, I thought it was a big ask to try and get a sub 2 hour half marathon time, given the injury problems and faced with a tough course with a large section on sand in winter conditions, but underestimate this lady at your peril!

A solid block of training and a gradual build up through the distances at the Foxtrail series saw her surpass all expectations at her A race. She absolutely deserves it for all the work she’s put in to both the physical and mental side of training and working incredibly hard to get back into running postpartum.

I’m excited to hear what’s next for her…

Great start to the series for

Juggling a busy family life with 4 boys as well as running her own business, Pamela is a great example of what can be achieved from having structure, routine and a great work ethic. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be progress.

Looking forward to the next race!

The change of season can present different challenges for runners. The shorter days leave less time for long runs before or after work and the lower temperatures make the thought of lacing up a little less appealing.

So how do we maintain our good habits when the seasons shift?

Mastering our own psychology is not an easy or quick thing to do. There are many buzz words and phrases out there that make it sound simple but to truly develop a deep understanding of our psychology and understand why we think the way we do, it helps to scratch below the surface.

Here are five books that our psychologist, Alice, would recommend, that are accessible enough for anyone who wants to work on their own mindset. Whether that’s with running or just life in general. Great reading for your next rest day or also as an audiobook on your next long run.

Dark mornings. Cold rain. Endless excuses.

But here’s the thing — the runners who keep showing up now are the ones who’ll feel calm, strong, and ready when race season comes back around.

You don’t need to crush every run.
You just need to keep the momentum ticking over.

Shoutout to our lovely client .runs.miles who smashed her longest run to date at Ladybower 22k at the weekend. Ducking in under her goal time of 3 hours on a challenging course, even stopping to help injured runners in the process.

Steph has diligently chipped away at her training sessions despite her busy home life, demanding job and lots of time spent travelling up and down the country. She embraces her training plan and has really put in the work during her last training block so it’s no surprise to see her reaching her goals and improving as a runner, and there’s plenty more to come.

Steph is the perfect example of someone who had personal running ambitions but was very inconsistent without a plan and structure. We’re so delighted that she chose us to help her work towards her goals and look forward to seeing what’s next.

Great work Steph and thanks to Poppy for modelling your well-deserved medal. 👏 👏 👏
