I hope the allotment is enjoying the rain & growing lots of yummy produce. It's less than 2 weeks until Pilton's 'Green Man Day' & the allotment association sell home grown produce, lets hope we have some ready for the day to contribute to the stall. Fingers & toes crossed!

The 2nd May was a big push to finish the raised beds. Marc, Mark, two missionaries & Angela put in some really hard work & things are really taking shape.
Now we need to wait for our seedlings to be ready to plant out.

On the 23rd April, the group got together at the allotment to try & finish the creating raised beds. The ground has been really hard making the digging a very difficult job. Still plenty to do, enough to keep us busy for a while to come.

What a lot has happened in the last few weeks.
The16th April was a busy day spent assembling a portable greenhouse; once ready, we planted lots of seeds into seed trays & put them in our new greenhouse, it was a lovely sunny day, perfect for planting & chatting.
Already lots of the seeds have sprouted, it's so lovely to see all the green shoots appear, ready for potting on & planting out in the near future

What a busy day was had at the allotment this week, the rotorvator didn't work as well as we hoped, so back to good old fashioned manual digging, the garden looked so much better at by the end of the day. The sunshine really helped too!

If anyone has any spare garden related items, tools, seeds, plants, etc. we would be grateful for any contributuions, we are starting from scratch & need everything. We are also happy to collect :O)

Hoping for a sunny weekend so that we can make a start on the garden. We need to get together all our un-needed bits & bobs & rubbish ready for tidy up Barnstaple 20-24th April
