✨ Heirloom Art Workshops – A Special Launch ✨

Today being secondary school allocation day, felt like the perfect moment to launch something really special.
Whether you’re celebrating a Year 6 leaver, marking the end of primary school, or simply want to preserve those precious early year creations — this workshop is for you.
You can come on your own or bring your Year 6 child (and don’t worry if your child is already in secondary school — you’re very welcome too!).

What We’ll Be Creating
A beautiful heirloom collage artwork to hang proudly in your home.�A chance to look back at all those precious memories — from early years through to primary school — and turn them into one stunning keepsake piece.

💛 What’s Included (£60)
30in x 30in art board�
✔️All glue, adhesives & sealers�
✔️ Full guidance and creative support�
✔️ A table set up so you can photograph each artwork before you cut, if you wish. Just need your mobile.�
✔️ Drinks & light nibbles�

All you need to bring is your child’s artwork, come and have a lovely couple of hours together creating something truly meaningful

🐑 Lambing & Easter Arty Weekend 🐑

28th & 29th March
Suitable for 12 months plus - if they can walk they can art!

Session times (each day):
• 10am – 12pm
• 1pm – 3pm

Join us for our Lambing & Easter Arty Weekend at the Old Dairy Farm & Craft Centre! Each day is split into two relaxed craft sessions, and you’re welcome to drop in at any time during your booked slot.

🎨 Arts & Crafts Activities Include:
• Make-your-own masks
• Painting
• Easter bonnet making
• And much more!
There’s plenty of time to enjoy all the activities at your own pace.

Prices:
• £12.50 per child (Includes 2 adults)
• Sibling tickets sold separately
Tickets for plus 12 months, babes in arms free

Easter Treasure Hunt
We’re also running an Easter Treasure Hunt around the centre!
Starting in the studio, children will explore the centre and return their completed hunt to receive a prize
• Pre-booked: £1.50 per child (when purchasing craft tickets)
• On the day: £2.00 per child

Busy year

This year we celebrate 40 years of The Old Dairy Farm, and we have a few dates in our diary to share with you as we hope you will come and join us throughout the year and be part of our special year.
The first is our spring lambing weekend in March, July will mark the opening weekend in 1986, and we are even thinking about Christmas. We are open throughout the year as usual Tuesday to Sunday, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Adults monthly meet this week.

Join me this Wednesday evening for our monthly arts & crafts social. No experience needed — just come along, meet new people, and enjoy a lovely, relaxed evening. Hot drinks & nibbles included.

I’ve been talking a lot with the children this week about mindfulness through art and crafts, so now it’s our turn as adults to slow down and enjoy a little well-deserved “me” time.

This week, I’ll have the gelli plates and acrylics out so we can produce some monoprints. You’re also very welcome to bring along your own craft projects.

A lovely day yesterday at our final art camp of the half term. I wanted to introduce a little mindfulness through art. The children decorated their sketchbooks and explored different drawing techniques, taking inspiration from objects around the room and the studio grounds.

I encouraged them to see drawing as a form of release, we spoke about feeling sad and angry. While all the children knew that a diary is used for writing, none had realised they could use a sketchbook as a kind of visual diary. Writing and spelling don’t always come easily to many children (or grown ups - myself included 😂), so expressing themselves through art can be incredibly beneficial.

As my wise eight-year-old once said,
“You can’t go wrong in art.”

Tot's Art Classes start back NEXT WEEK

Fun, Creative Art & sensory class for Confident walkers through to preschoolers

Ideal for tots that can walk through to 4 year olds.

As always the classes include drinks for attending adult and biscuits, water/squash for little ones.

These different classes will include, paint and other art sensory, so they will need to wear clothes which you don't mind getting messy! Lots of paint, glitter and scissor skills will be explored

Perfect class for little hands to work on muscle control, fine & gross motor skills, trying pouring skills.
