Counsellor Laura hosted a 'drop-in' session for staff and brand partners at Oaks Designer Outlet last week. This was an opportunity to find out more about accessing mental health support through our affordable service.

The drop in went well, and it was great to be able to provide a safe space for those considering therapy to chat to a counsellor face to face before committing.

Working together to strengthen relationships in our community 💬

Last week, Kasey from One Ellesmere Port Primary Care Network delivered our Understanding Relationships workshop at Tomorrow's Women - Chester Centre in Chester.

It’s always fantastic to share knowledge and expertise with fellow third sector organisations, working collaboratively to support the wellbeing of our local community.

Here’s what Kasey had to say about the session:

“I was joined by a group of lovely ladies who were keen to learn more about navigating some of the common challenges that show up in our personal relationships, increasing self-awareness, and recognising our own patterns of relating. There was some really interesting discussion and some great feedback from participants, so hopefully everyone left with something positive to reflect on and take forward in their relationships.”

Recently, our Ellesmere Port team counsellors hosted an 'Understanding Relationships' workshop for residents of the area registered with a One Ellesmere Port Primary Care Network GP practice.

The team received some great feedback, with participants feeling equipped with useful tools to take away with them to support improving their relationships with loved ones, colleagues, friends and family.

We'll be running another 2-part workshop soon, stay tuned for dates!

Due to increased demand for our affordable counselling service, we have welcomed more counsellors to our team!

This service is available at £25 per session via video or telephone call, and has been set up to try and make accessing therapy more accessible to anyone who needs it across the UK.

We’ve loved supporting one of our Northwich gentlemen through our funded Hospital Discharge service and what a character he’s been! 😄

A few weeks ago, we went to visit him to find out how he’s found the sessions. He shared how much the regular visits meant to him. Having someone check in, offer reassurance, and support him to improve his strength and mobility to help gain confidence at home has made a real difference to his recovery. That consistent support can play such an important role in reducing the risk of re-admission and helping people feel safe and independent again.

It’s feedback like this that remind us why services like these matter so much. Not only for the mobility benefits but in connection, confidence and a few good laughs along the way. 💛

Over the past few weeks, Andy and Francesca have been running our Understanding Grief workshop series 💛

The sessions were fully booked, and we’re so grateful for the openness and honesty everyone brought to the space. We’ve received some truly lovely feedback from participants, which we’ll be sharing with you very soon.

We plan to host another series in a few months' time, stay tuned for more information and dates.
