We have removed quite a few cotton buds from people's ear canals recently. Some where the person was not even aware there was one stuck.

Please do not use cotton buds in your ears. It impacts the wax, causes trauma and the tip can become dislodged and stuck within the ear canal.

Thankfully at norwich community ear care we are usually able to remove said cotton bud. But if not this would be a specialist ENT procedure with potential long waits to get it removed.

Why are my hearing aids not working? A question we are frequently asked.

If wax is blocking your ear canal, your hearing aids will not work as they should.

They will likely whistle and not be as effective.

Hearing aids block the natural exit route of ear wax. Leading to blocked ears.

Here at Norwich community ear care we only use trained registered, experienced Nurses to carry out ear wax removal (unlike many other providers).

Another successfully day of ear wax removal. Where a major hight street chain had failed to remove impacted wax and refused to return. And we have visited and removed said ear wax.

It is not always possible to remove ear wax at the first visit. But here at Norwich community ear care we offer 2nd visits at no extra charge.
