Teen brains are still developing - especially the areas responsible for decision-making and self-control. Meanwhile, the emotional and reward systems mature earlier, making feelings stronger and reactions quicker. Add in hormonal changes, and it’s easy to see why teens can be more impulsive or sensitive.

That’s why they respond best to patience, clear boundaries, and steady emotional support rather than punishment. Guiding them to understand and manage their emotions helps build lasting self-control and sound decision-making.

Exploring Healing Through Inner Sight & Folklore

For centuries, wise women, healers, and folklore keepers have cared for body and soul in ways we might now call unconventional.
It doesn’t matter what we think people believed — they felt healed. And that makes me wonder: was it the mind, belief, or something more?

Driven by curiosity, I began exploring alternative approaches to therapy and healing, blending inner sight with the wisdom of magical folklore.
I’ve learned that curiosity is the key to knowledge — and sometimes, we can be deeply surprised by what we discover.

This journey has challenged my assumptions, opened new ways of listening and feeling, and revealed how much we can learn when we stay open.

Along the way, I’ve shared this path with inspiring people whose knowledge, humor, and presence have made the experience richer.

Every step uncovers new layers of the self — and every story carries a spark of healing.

Recently, I listened to an NLP video, and one phrase really struck me:

"Who are you?"

At first, I could easily answer - I’m a mum, a therapist, a wife. I carry these roles every day, and they mean so much to me. But then the question came again, more insistently:

"But who are you REALLY?"

And suddenly, I was speechless. With all the thinking, all the effort… I couldn’t answer.

It almost felt like I couldn’t remember who I was - or maybe I never truly knew.

How many people get so caught up in life that they lose touch with their own self?

I have a feeling I’m not the only one.

So now I’m determined to find out who I actually am beneath the titles, the responsibilities, the expectations. Maybe you can join me.

Because when you strip away the roles - what remains?

When you’re completely alone, not doing anything for anyone - what’s left?

What moments make you feel most alive, even if no one sees?

As a child, before the world told you who to be - what lit you up?

What do you long for, even if you can’t explain it?

Maybe we’re not meant to define ourselves with a single answer, but to live that question, moment by moment.

So let me ask you, as I ask myself:

Right now, in this moment - without roles or obligations - what does your inner world feel like?

Quiet?

Chaotic?

Curious?

Numb?

Hopeful?

There’s no right answer.

Just the start of a journey inward.

Let’s walk it - together.

“I always thought I’d stay calm if someone shouted at me — after all, I’m a therapist. I know the difference between my emotions and someone else’s. But when a parent shouted at me in public, something inside shifted. I felt ashamed for not shouting back — like I didn’t protect my child unless I responded with anger. That moment taught me something deeper: we need to untangle anger from aggression. We can honour our emotions without losing ourselves in them.”

Anger is valid. Aggression is a choice.

And walking away? That can be strength too.
