With the start of summer arriving, our clients took the opportunity to spend time together relaxing in a local pub garden.
They were encouraged to practice paying for their drinks and socialising together as well as the journey to and from site to the pub.

Our clients have been out shopping together in independent skills.
With support from staff and each other, clients prepared a list to take to the shops, and made their way together, walking to the shop.
Each client was given a skill to practice such as, locating the items on the list, scanning, using the self scan machine, paying and packing.
A brilliant group effort supporting each other to grow in their independence.

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
Our clients enjoyed a visit to Mansfield Museum to celebrate, where they decorated their own hats while learning about ways to help the environment.
They then went to Mansfield Palace Theatre to see the breath-taking six-metre replica of planet Earth, by renowned artist Luke Jerram. Named after the Greek goddess of life, Gaia, the giant floating globe aims to delight, amaze, and inspire respect for the only planet in the universe that we can all call home.

Our Pelham Road clients took a day trip to Charnwood museum in Loughborough. The permanent displays include interactive activities for visitors to partake in. Our clients were able to go digging through layers of history like archaeologists, use microscopes to look at insects, try basket weaving and use a crane simulation to lift different objects.

A lovely day was had by all, learning about our history with friends and exploring the community.

Our clients spent the day at Galleries of Justice in Nottingham. They explored the Victorian Courtroom and had to stand trial. Thankfully they were found not guilty and allowed to return home!
