This weekâs meal prep is done.
I made a few dishes, including red lentil dhal with bulgur wheat, and pasta with a homemade tomato sauce and chicken breast. I had plenty of sauce left, so I used it in a few other meals too, adding some green beans, a bit of chicken, and a little sausage from earlier in the week. Simple, tasty, and ready to go.
Meal prepping really does save so much time when youâve got a busy week ahead. Just take a meal out of the fridge or freezer and youâre all set.

Ginger Shots
Ingredients:
⢠4 medium oranges
⢠1 large lemon
⢠1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger
⢠1 tsp turmeric (generous)
⢠Ÿ tsp cayenne pepper
⢠Ÿâ½ cup water
Method:
1. Peel the oranges and lemon. Chop the ginger.
2. Blend all ingredients with the water until smooth.
3. Strain through a fine sieve.
4. Stir in turmeric and cayenne, then taste.
You should feel a warming heat from the ginger and cayenne without it being overpowering.
Give this recipe a try and save yourself a small fortune! Homemade ginger shots cost around 30â50p each, compared to ÂŁ2.10 or more in store.

What an amazing weekend competing at Raising the Bar again! Iâm proud to have made it back onto the podium, finishing 3rdâsomething I didnât expect to happen again. The event definitely highlighted a few gaps in my training, which Iâll be working hard to improve. That said, Iâm still not sure Iâll ever feel fully comfortable with handstand push-ups! đ
It was also great to catch up with my competition friendsâyou ladies inspire me! đŞ
Massive credit to the organisersâsuch a friendly, well-run competition with a great atmosphere. Iâd highly recommend it to anyone thinking about giving it a go!

Cycling and fitness is something I enjoy in life. For as long as can remember my favourite activity was/is riding my bike from being a toddler to adulthood. So it was natural for me to work in the industry selling bicycles for over 20 years. What I enjoy the most is uncovering the right bike for job. I had a knack for choosing the right bike and with that offering some fitness advice when requested.
What I enjoy the most is guiding returning cyclist back into riding. Helping them recover their bike handling skills allowing them to ride confidently with their mates again. To have confidence to ride knowing they can do this sponsored event or cycling holiday. Life can send you on different journey to what you expected, starting a family, career growth or bad health and fitness. My goal is to help you feel good, healthy and happy and confident on a bike.
This proverb fits my philosophy:
