Are you the person who is logged in early and calm, or are you frantically clicking “Join Meeting” while still swallowing your last bite of lunch? 🤯
We spend so much time in online meetings, but how much time do we spend preparing our environment and our mindset for them? Is “prep” just opening the right tabs 30 seconds before the link starts?
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how different a call feels when I give myself space beforehand. Not just to organise my screen… but to be present.
Because here’s the truth: back-to-back calls are draining. Switching from one conversation to the next without a pause doesn’t just blur your diary; it blurs your presence. And when we don’t give ourselves a moment to reset, we carry the stress, the energy, and sometimes the emotion of the last meeting straight into the next.
Breaks aren’t a luxury. They’re a boundary. They’re how we show up well.
⭐️ Here’s the routine I’ve been trying that I wanted to share with you on how to feel ready, hydrated and grounded for every call.
When we give ourselves even five intentional minutes, we move from reactive to present. From rushed to ready.
⁉️ What’s your pre-meeting ritual?
Do you have a favourite song, a specific tea, or a lighting hack that makes you feel confident?
