💜 Relax Kids HAF St Thomas Church Werneth - Day 4 ; today was the final day of our Easter offer and it has been an action packed day from start to finish! So much fun! 🤩 from our Warm up with Move and Play this morning, football in the school playground through to our treasure hunt this afternoon too! Arts and crafts a plenty and some serious games of chess happening in the Church! We even found time to decorate out cupcakes and cookies for our final treat of the sessions this week. It was lovely to be blessed by the beautiful Sunshine ☀️.

🌟 It’s been a fantastic week with the children at St Thomas Church, we have seen some beautiful examples of kindness, thoughtfulness and care for each other.

💜 There’s been lots of conversations around how we might not get on with everyone all the time but we just have respect and kindness in our hearts. We cannot control the behaviours of others but we can set an example on how we act ourselves.

🤩 I also want to mention our amazing young leaders, this week we have had a number of young people supporting the sessions who have really shined brightly! Some still at school themselves, have really made wonderful role models for the children they have been supporting! So a massive thank you to them from the bottom of my heart 🙏 💜

Our final day at St Hugh's CofE Primary School today and sun had his hat on, lots of fresh air and fruit and veggies to keep us happy and healthy 😁

Another fun day for day 3 of our HAF provision this week St Hugh's CofE Primary School.

Lots of fun and games inside and outside in our spacious school yard. We painted slate chipping stones and planted sunflower seeds as well as are usual crafts and games

Relax Kids St Thomas Church, Werneth - Day 3 has been such a lovely groovy kinda day! jam packed we had m the silent disco and I was mortified to find out most of the children had never done one but they absolutely loved it! The photos really don’t do it justice! We had some really good songs… and I wasn’t in charge of the playlist! But there was a request system in place! (Which was my idea! 😜)

We also have some superstar bakers who today provided cookies for us to try in our mindful eating task this afternoon! It was just lovely.. beautiful words from the children of squidgy, crunchy, crispy to name but a few and the fact that they smelt divine - the whole church was filled with the wonderful smell of cookie dough! Made my tummy rumble!!!!

We got our move on this morning and the parachute was back by popular demand! A little bit of the popcorn game which raise the roof of the church with energy! A little downtime with football and choosing time ..closing the session with our lovely relax as always!

Why is there never enough time to fit everything in!!!!!???

🐍 Relax Kids St Thomas Church Werneth day 2 - what a day! Mahoosive thanks to the fantastic ZooLab for today! The children have had an absolute ball never mind the staff! Australian Tree Frog 🐸, Giant Land Snail, Giant Cockroach 🪳 and of course the beautiful tarantula 🕷️ I have no words for the amount of learning we have done today…. Did you know the only things a cockroach cannot eat are metals, plastics and glass! and they can hold their breath underwater for an hour!

💜 We have of course also done our Relax Kids steps! Moved our bodies, played some fantastic games, chosen our craft activities and played sports in the School Playground Many thanks to St Thomas CE Primary School Werneth for letting us use the hall and the playground! It makes such a difference to have wonderful safe spaces to use!

This afternoon we managed to fit in a little mindfulness with Orbeez, and brought the session to a close with our wonderful visualisations with blankets and cushions!

🥙 was fabulous Chicken Curry and Rice supplied thanks to C and C Catering Services with fruit and yogurt for desert

We continued with our Easter crafts today at St Hugh's CofE Primary School but not only that we boogied all afternoon at our silent disco, let’s just say a lot of children on Holts will sleep well tonight 😜

Lots of fun going on yesterday at our St Hugh's CofE Primary School HAF provision.

We decorated Easter cupcakes, made Easter cards, masks and finger puppets as well as junk modelling with lots of recycled materials.

Lunch was a delicious chicken burger on a bun with lots of fresh salad followed by fruit and yogurt.

💜 Today has been a fantastic first day in our brand new venue at St Thomas Church Werneth!

We warmed up with Move to some groovy music followed with Play and today was the wonderful parachute. Charlie our resident football coach took some of the children over to the school hall for ball games with Marco his sports leader. Whilst at the church we did lots of craft a activities; from FIMO Clay worry pebbles to slime, Hama beads, Jewellery making and not to forget the LEGO. We didn’t even have time to get the junk modelling out!!
