The government has today announced its initial response to the 2023 consultation on non-surgical cosmetic procedures, and BABTAC welcomes the proposed plans to crack down on unsafe treatments.⁠

As one of the key industry bodies to feed into the consultation, we’re proud to see our continued campaigning for safety and regulation reflected in these proposals.⁠

Proposals include:⁠
👉 New licensing for clinics offering injectables⁠
👉 Only qualified healthcare professionals to perform high-risk treatments like BBLs⁠
👉 Age restrictions to protect young people from social media trends⁠
