Rejuvenate Cosmetic Acupuncture is a natural alternative to fillers and chemical treatments. This revitalising facial treatment can improve skin texture and colouring; increase elasticity; reduce and soften the appearance of wrinkles.
Elizabeth Ross, who is based in Oldmeldrum, has been qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 40 years and has been an accredited Acupuncturist for over 20 years. Most recently, in April 2019, she qualified with Jonathan Hobbs in Cosmetic Acupuncture.
Rejuvenate Cosmetic Acupuncture has its roots in ancient Chinese acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The TCM theory suggests that harmonising the yin organs and their associated channels has an integral part to play in facial rejuvenation.
The aim of the insertion of the single use, sterile, very fine needles into selected points is to:
Create an inflammatory response which increases the microcirculation and has been shown to facilitate muscle regeneration and improve skin elasticity
Improve the oil and water content of the skin (which reduces with age), giving a more youthful healthy glow to your appearance
Reduce dark circles.
Treatment course: It is recommended that there is an initial commitment of 6 sessions, twice a week for two weeks, then once a week for two weeks. Then depending on results some clients may benefit from a single session every 1-3 months to maintain the benefits. However, skin type, age and lifestyle could mean that to achieve optimum benefit before maintenance, a further commitment of 6 sessions is necessary. This is recommended at two more weekly sessions, followed by four at fortnightly intervals.
Due to this treatment being a 100% natural and healthy approach it is not a quick fix, unlike the results from fillers, injections and chemical treatments. There is a gradual softening of wrinkles and freshening of the complexion. Elizabeth will use her many years in medicine and acupuncture to offer this naturally holistic approach to improve facial appearance. With acupuncture, unlike with pharmacological interventions, the tissue does not acclimatise or become immune to the treatment.

Gold - Full face protocol including lines and wrinkles 60-75 minutes
Platinum - Full face protocol indulging lines and wrinkles followed with face mask and jade roller 75-90 minutes
