Cheat meal trifle. Low calorie custard; ten calorie jelly; low fat squirty cream. Great sweet tooth fix and a lower calorie dessert. Add some fresh berries to make it even better. Another great dessert could be a lower fat Eaton mess with a small merengue, fresh strawberries and low fat squirty cream. So many alternatives. 💕

Never fails to deliver. Quiche made with tortilla wrap base. This one included mixed peppers, peas, onions, zero fat greek yogurt, Philadelphia lightest cream cheese and four medium eggs. Seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, chilli flakes and paprika. Topped with fresh spinach. Served with drizzle each of sweet chilli and saraccha mayo. I had a portion with baked beans and cheat daupinpise cubed potatoes.

Mash and peppered chicken with cabbage. The cheats being the mash consisted of cauliflower, carrots and broccoli. Using skinless chicken seasoned to taste, cube it and mix it in with the peppered sauce. Sauce was an instant sauce made by adding water and semi skimmed milk. The cooked cabbage was fried with chopped turkey rashers. A really satisfying and filling meal which consisted primarily of veggies and a medium skinless chicken breast.

Quiche made with two mini wraps. 2 large eggs, sliced peppers, peas and red onion. Season with your favourite spices and herbs. Sprinkled with low fat cheese and baked in the air fryer. Make sure to spray oven dish with lite spray to avoid wraps sticking. Delicious.

What I eat in a day of 1200 a day calorie deficit diet. Lunch. Sausage, egg and salad hot sandwich. Dry fried egg =67 calories; lettuce and sliced tomato= 10 calories: 2 Cookstown thin reduced fat sausages = 140 calories and Lidl multi seed thin sandwich bread = 112 calories. Total lunch = 329 calories.

What I eat in a day on a 1200 a day calorie diet. Breakfast. Boiled egg = 66 calories; 2 air fried rashers smoked bacon = 144 calories; scotch pancake = 81 calories; drizzle maple syrup = 39 calories. Total = 330 calories.

Swaps for a healthier and lower calorie Spaghetti Bolognese. I find low fat streak mince can be a little dry and tasteless so I add the same amount of low fat pork mince to the steak mince or use low fat pork mince instead of beef mince. I just find it has more flavour but this is a personal choice along with adding spices and herbs to taste. As photo I used wholemeal spaghetti and Brennan's 90 calories rolls. I have to have some sort of bread to wipe up the delicious sauce. The sauce is just tomato based with spice and herb additions. Again to taste.
