🌟 Laughter Club – Tomorrow Evening at 6 pm🌟

With so much doom and gloom in the news right now, our laughter sessions are all about shifting the focus back to the good stuff — connection, joy, movement, and those small moments that lift the spirit.

Laughter Yoga doesn’t involve any yoga poses at all. Instead, we use gentle yogic breathing between each laughter exercise so we don’t over‑laugh and so everyone gets the full benefits. It’s a simple, playful way to relax the body, calm the mind, and boost your mood.

Most people leave feeling lighter, more connected, and often enjoy a really good night’s sleep afterwards. It’s also surprisingly good fun and a bit of a workout. You can do as much or as little as you want, and everything can be done seated if that’s more comfortable.

If you’d like to join us, you can book online using the link below.

A little reminder:
✨ Wear something cool and comfy
✨ Bring a drink — we can get quite warm!

Come and give yourself permission to laugh, breathe, and feel good for an hour. You deserve it. 💛

🌿 A gentle Sunday at the Coach House 🌿

Today marked the last of six Sunday morning sessions at the Coach House, where I’ve been helping to facilitate Understanding and Managing the Impact of Trauma, a course led by Consultant Psychologist Steph.

Over the past six months we’ve explored so much together — from safety planning and the impact of trauma on the body, to emotions, thoughts, behaviour, sense of self, understanding triggers, and our survival responses.

This morning we wrapped up with a thoughtful review of the course and some truly lovely exercises focused on connecting with the compassionate self… all accompanied by birdsong drifting in from the Kitchen Garden.

It’s been such a gentle, nourishing way to start a Sunday. I’m coming away with even more insight into trauma and its many layers, and I’m looking forward to weaving what I’ve learned into my work.

Feeling grateful for the space, the learning, and the people who made it what it was. 🌼

Today was Week 5 of Roots for Resilience and we were blessed with clear blue skies over the kitchen garden — the kind of light that makes everything feel possible.

Our focus this week was “what we want to grow”: a habit, a goal, a quality, a feeling, or a way of living that we’re ready to nurture. We spent time imagining what life will look, sound, and feel like when that growth has taken root — the small signs, the shifts, the moments of “oh… I’m doing it.”

We also named the pests that can nibble away at our progress:

🪱doubt worms
🐛overthinking caterpillars
🐝comparison wasps

And we explored how to manage them by spotting the unhelpful thinking patterns behind them and choosing kinder, more balanced alternatives.

A gorgeous afternoon, a thoughtful group, and a reminder that growth is rarely loud — it’s steady, intentional, and absolutely worth tending. 🌱

"Spilling the tea" usually makes for a great story, but apparently, my old laptop didn't appreciate the literal version this morning. After a tragic "English Breakfast" bath, my tech has officially crossed over to the other side.
So, here I am setting up the replacement! 💻✨

🌿 Roots for Resilience – Week 4: Leaves of Change

This week we explored the leaves of our resilience tree — the parts of us that show our emotional weather and remind us that change is natural.

We looked at how we respond in life’s little storms through the Drama Triangle, and then explored the Empowerment Triangle — healthier roles that help us move forward with more clarity and choice.

Everyone created two symbolic leaves, and here are some of the reflections shared:

🍂 Letting Fall:
overthinking • constant worrying • trying to fix what can’t be fixed • negative thoughts • self‑criticism

🍃 Growing Instead:
patience • confidence • moving forward • speaking up more • being present

And for our weekly reflection, we even made it out into the garden — the perfect place to think about seasons, change, and new growth.

Little shifts, gently made, can change the whole season. 🌱

🌿 Roots for Resilience – Week 3 at the Coach House 🌿

Today’s theme was branches — the parts of us that reach out, adapt, and stay connected. We explored how we bend without breaking, how we grow in new directions, and how we support one another along the way.

We tried some alternate nostril breathing to help us rebalance, paired with a bit of tree breathing to steady ourselves. Then we had a go at Branching Out — looking at different ways to approach a challenge or problem.

A huge thank you to the group, who once again shared such thoughtful insights, personal experiences, and partnered up brilliantly for problem‑solving and intention‑setting. Your openness and generosity make these sessions what they are.

To finish, we revisited our mind gardens: noticing what’s growing well, what needs a little tending, and what might need a gentle prune.

The branches in the park were swaying in the breeze this afternoon, and the birds provided the perfect soundtrack — nature doing its bit to hold the space with us.

🌱 Next session: Tuesday 24th at 1 pm

🌙 Evening series: The second set of workshops is now open for booking (6–8 pm). Link below.
