EDIT: Our CYP waiting list is now at capacity. Unfortunately, we are not taking on anymore young people's referrals. Our adult online list is also at capacity but our face-to-face is still open!

Our current counsellors have in-person spaces available right now, with more times and days opening as we are recruit more placement counsellors. Contact us today for low-cost mental health support without the wait.

Incredible First Aid training today, provided by TNR Outdoors. Rich looked at what our counsellors may come across within their sessions, supporting their clients with really interesting discussions on common and potential physical health issues related to mental health.

Understanding Emotional Overload🧠:
Many people think “emotional overwhelm” means breaking down or losing control, but it often shows up in quieter ways. You might notice:
- Struggling to make simple decisions
- Feeling unusually tired
- Becoming irritable over small things
- Withdrawing from people
- Finding it hard to concentrate
These reactions aren’t signs of weakness. They are signs that your mind is carrying more than it has capacity for right now.
Emotional overload is your system saying, “I need a pause.”
Small steps like slowing your breathing🫁, taking a short walk👣, or talking to someone you trust 🗣️ can help your nervous system settle.
If you’re feeling this way, you’re not alone. Many people experience it, and support is available when you’re ready ❤️

As we welcome the new year, we’re feeling grateful and hopeful about what’s ahead. We’re excited to share that we’ll soon be moving into a new premises — which means we’ll be able to see clients five days a week in a space that feels calm, welcoming, and supportive.

The start of a new year is a good reminder that growth often comes from small, meaningful steps. We’re really looking forward to continuing to support our clients and community as we move into this next chapter together.

And finally... one of our counsellors shared a mini exercise to practice self-care over this restorative period. The 3 daily wins!

Try a physical win: Walking, running, swimming etc.

Take time for a mental win: Reading, writing, creating, learning etc.

And introduce yourself to a spiritual win: Praying, meditating, studying, processing.

Not our usual post but hopefully some practical advice to help us all stay safe through this horrible weather!

As is expected to bring flood impacts across Wales, you may want to consider preparing a 👜

A flood kit includes key items that will help minimise the risks and survive the worst if flooding means you need to leave your home quickly. 🌧️

The kit could help look after you and your family, especially if you’re unable to return for a while. 🏘️

From phone chargers to torches and medicines, our website has a list of items that you may find useful to add to your flood kit. 💊 🔦

Once assembled, leave the kit in an easily accessible place in your home.

It may be that you don’t have to use it, but if you ever did need it, you may be thankful to have important items already together.
