About us

Rosebank is simply a home from home, we pride ourselves on our commitment to our residents and the levels of care that we provide. We want to see our residents happy and we want them to see Rosebank as their home, with their own front door. We are a small dementia-friendly home that can cater for 28 people at one time. We have an open door policy and welcome any interested parties to drop by and take a look around, chat to the people that make up Rosebank life. Vanessa Lavender, Rosebank’s Registered Manager, has many years of experience in this industry and loves leading the team at Rosebank. Vanessa and the team of cooks, care staff, gardeners, cleaners all make Rosebank a happy place to be. We also like to think we make a difference to the people's lives that we care for and give peace of mind to their relatives. Care Services

We offer a safe, comfortable, and happy environment, being cared for by experienced staff who work closely as a team with both residents and their families. We have high staffing levels at all times to ensure excellent quality care, which is carried out with particular attention to privacy and dignity. Staff training is a priority at the home – staff are actively encouraged to follow a comprehensive training programme so that they can best meet the individual care needs of the residents. They are well respected and actively supported by Jane and Vanessa to enable them to do their job in a warm and professional manner. Additional services

We are fortunate in having an excellent medical centre based in the village. We liaise closely with the GPs and the District Nursing team to provide close day to day cover. If needed we are able to arrange foot practitioner and physiotherapy services to our residents through local providers that we work very closely with. Hairdressing and manicure provision is a focal activity. We have access to churches in the local, and our Vicar visits us on a monthly basis so that residents can participate in a church service if they would like to. We welcome friends and family visits, we operate a booking system through Lifestyle to make this a really easy and straight forward process for everyone, we all love a visit! We have a special bath that aids bathing for those with mobility issues which can be used by residents as and when this is needed. The passenger lift can accommodate wheelchairs.

This afternoon, we’ve been writing cards to veterans to thank them for their service to our country. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Billy is one of those veterans β€” he served in the RAF for three years, working in search and rescue. We’re so grateful for his dedication and for all who have served. ❀️

To all who have served β€” we see you, we honor you, and we thank you. πŸ’™

This morning, we headed to Aston to take part in the Remembrance Service hosted by Aston and Cote CE Primary .

We were honoured to take along a beautiful wreath made by the children from Aston and Cote CE Primary and Cokethorpe Schools during their visit with us last Tuesday. After the service, we presented the wreath to Aston Community Shop, who were proud to display it in their shop window as a symbol of remembrance and community spirit. 🌺

Lest we forget. ❀️

🌸 A lovely, relaxing afternoon 🌸

Had some one-to-one time this afternoon β€” a little self-care session with a tidy-up, nails, a soothing hand massage, and some beautiful aromatherapy oils.

Such a lovely way to unwind, recharge, and enjoy some calm moments πŸ’…πŸŒΏβœ¨

🌺🌿 Honoring Remembrance Day at Rosebank Care Home 🌿🌺

Today, we come together to remember and honor the sacrifices made by brave men and women in service of our country. At Rosebank Care Home, we’ve created a beautiful and meaningful display of remembrance both inside and out. From poppies to wreaths, and special tributes, our residents, staff, and volunteers have worked together to ensure that we never forget the courage and dedication that have shaped our freedom.

We invite everyone to stop by and take a moment of reflection, as we stand united in gratitude and remembrance. Lest we forget. πŸŒΉπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

🧦 Odd Sock Sorting Fun! 🧦

This morning we were busy sorting through a big basket of odd socks β€” chatting about all the different patterns, colours, and textures as we went. There was lots of laughter and teamwork as we found all the matching pairs!

Simple, familiar activities like this help spark memories, encourage conversation, and keep minds and hands active πŸ’¬πŸ’–

🎨🌺 A Morning of Arts & Crafts! 🌺🎨

We had such a lovely creative morning yesterday β€” from exploring watercolour painting to cutting out Aston and Cote CE Primary and Cokethorpe School children colourful handprints from their visit. We added a black centre dot and some green leaves, then carefully stapled everything together to make a beautiful handprint poppy wreath. β€οΈπŸƒ

We had the privilege of welcoming the wonderful children from Aston and Cote CE Primary and Cokethorpe School for a special Remembrance Sunday-themed activity afternoon. The kids engaged in a variety of thoughtful and creative activities, from colouring and dot-to-dot to painting handprints that came together to form a beautiful poppy wreath. πŸ–ŒοΈπŸ’

These moments are a powerful reminder of the importance of remembering and honoring those who gave so much. The children's enthusiasm and creativity truly made the day memorable. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it such a special event. πŸ™βœ¨
