Can't help but find 1/6th scale really amusing. It looks huge compared to 1/12th yet it's still really cute! π
asked if I could make a set of 1/6th scale weights for her lovely mini gym, and, of course I couldn't say no π€ I have to admit, despite it just being a scaled up version of the design I already have, it took a lot longer than I planned.
As we don't have metal casting moulds for a larger size weight, I obviously had to weight it differently π.
So, I made the weights hollow and filled them with very fine metal pellets. π€
Having made this model, I've now realised that with 1/6th scale, not only is there being twice as much surface area to finish (obviously), but, being larger means you can see all the little imperfections far more than you can on 1/12th.
Basically, despite my optimism, twice as big does mean twice as much work, even if the design is already done π
But, to see the result standing next to the 1/12th version made it totally worth it! π
