The wonderful team at BCG’s support office in Perth raised funds for Save the Children’s annual by rocking their festive threads last week. 🧑‍🎄❄️

There was everything from a North Face parody (AKA the North Pole) to a duo of Rudolphs as the office got into the spirit of the season. 🎄

Of course, across the homes, too, there were many more of the team and residents taking part. Photos incoming!

🍰 A proper, old-fashioned bake-off has inspired residents to roll up their sleeves over these past few weeks and the results have been tree-mendous! 🎄

From Alastrean to Wheatlands, our Managing Director had the enviable task of judging the goods, from cakes to clootie dumplings. The whole purpose has been to help keep residents connected to skills they've always had.

In second and third place were Stormont Lodge and Brookfield respectively. Overall, our winner was this superb offering from St Ronans in Dundee. Here's Marie Watson finishing off the job of decorating the home's cake with a wee sing song. 🎂✨

In a fun-packed afternoon, The Puppet Gang came to play at Antiquary in Arbroath last week. 🎉

Their caricature puppets and marionettes, dancing and singing along to hits by the likes of Elvis, had the residents in stitches and tears of joy. So lovely to see.

Everyone sang along to the hits as the puppet handler visited each resident with the dancing puppets, allowing them to touch, hold and hug them. 🩵

Residents of BCG Stormont Lodge in Blairgowrie were delighted by a recent visit from two very cuddly miniature Therapy Ponies, Squiggles and Haggis, who were rocking tinsel for the occasion. 🐴

The pair have been dropping by the homes for some time and are firm favourites all over BCG country. ✨

With the 2025 BCG Great Christmas Cake Bake competition in full swing, our home at The Glens in Angus have prepared an absolute beauty. 👩‍🍳

Our homes are facing off in a competition to find the absolute best of the best in festive baking.

Activities Coordinator, Lisa, has worked with the residents to create and decorate this epic cake.

Judging takes place next week, it’ll be a tough one!

Here at Balhousie Care, our team is passionate about delivering the highest quality care and support to our residents, ensuring that our homes really are a 'home-from-home'. ‘The Balhousie Way’ is our own little term which describes the way in which we like to run our homes.
