Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy.
If you are giving yourself a hard time over not being all you want to be, not having the memory or speech you would like to have or the energy and general wellness that you would like to feel - Ask yourself would I say the same to a friend with this condition?
If the answer is NO then don't say it to yourself either.
Words have the power to make us feel better or worse. You can actually physically drain your own energy with negative self talk.
When we talk this way we ramp up the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) as the brain senses attack - even when we are attacking ourselves!
The sympathetic system creates a cascade of bodily reactions which deplete our energy making us feel even worse.
So remember your words and thoughts really do have the power to energize or drain you!

Grounding techniques such as a practice of everyday mindfulness and deep breathing can help to centre you back in the present moment.

This can be incredibly helpful if you are prone to stress, overwhelm or overthinking.

By practicing these methods everyday they will soon become a natural habit and help to retrain the brain in to calm focused activity
