A huge shoutout to our wonderful Purple Angels for their very first visit to our home! 🎶
Our lovely residents were over the moon with the ladies' beautiful singing! It was such a joy to see everyone smiling and clapping along to their favourite tunes. 💖
Purple Angels is a wonderful band who brings a touch of magic to every occasion by having dedicated singers creating unforgettable moments for any events. One thing we absolutely adore about them is that they pride themselves in professionalism and commitment to excellence. They really did put on a 5 star show and had all the staff and residents singing and dancing along- it was truly a magical moment for all involved!
Moments like these remind us just how powerful music is in connecting hearts and creating cherished memories. We can't thank you enough for your kindness and dedication to spreading happiness! 🌟 You truly made our day so much brighter! Your talent and passion shine through every note, leaving a lasting impact on our community. We're grateful for the laughter, the joy, and the unforgettable experiences you bring to our home. Friday 6th was National Wear Red Day ❤️

This day is to highlight and bring attention to heart disease. Heart disease affects predominantly those over 50, men are at higher risk, but National Wear Red Day makes people aware that women can also be affected. Anyone anywhere can join in with the movement and battle against heart disease.

It was so touching and moving to see our wonderful residents so happy to be apart of this day. The residents here at The Tudors care home found comfort and a sense of community from National Wear Red Day. Last Friday we put on our brightest red clothing or accessories to bring attention and support to organisations including British Heart Foundation , Heart Research UK , Little Hearts Matter and Heart Heroes

This day really strengthened our community bond and educated our residents on such a meaningful day which had such a positive impact within our home 👍🏡

If you would like to find out more about National Wear Red Day and further information on heart disease and how we can raise awareness, please visit these pages tagged above to show your support.

We encourage you to help raise awareness and be in support of those suffering with heart disease across the UK today.

Get ready to celebrate the Guinness Men's Six Nations this week! 🏉

We had an absolute blast participating in a Rugby-themed quiz, and guess what? Even those who thought they didn’t know much about rugby were blown away by their scores! 🎉

To top it off, we indulged in a mouth-watering Six Nations-themed snack platter that featured delicious English cheddar, scrumptious apple pies, delightful French pain au chocolate and brie, rich Irish whiskey cake, and tasty Welsh tea cakes! Everyone loved it!

To mark National Puzzle Day, residents took part in a range of puzzle-based activities, including jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, and picture puzzles. These activities were carefully selected to support cognitive stimulation, concentration, and fine motor skills.

Construction-style puzzles were particularly enjoyed. While some residents required support and encouragement, all were willing to participate at their own pace. On completion, residents expressed pleasure and a sense of achievement in viewing the finished images.

We have been engaged in a meaningful activity, making bird feeders to hang in the garden as part of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch activities. Simple yet effective feeders were created using bird seed and honey. Once dried, they were placed in the garden to encourage birds to visit. 🐦

This activity supported creativity, sensory engagement, and connection with nature, and we are looking forward to observing the variety of birds that come to feed.

Our lovely ladies enjoyed a calming and engaging sensory morning 💜

The session focused on exploring different textures, colours, and patterns, followed by familiar scents such as lavender and coffee. These sensory experiences encouraged plenty of discussion, with residents sharing their favourite colours, describing how the textures felt, and recognising the distinctive scent of lavender, which many could easily identify.

Activities like this are a wonderful way to stimulate the senses, spark memories, and encourage meaningful conversation in a relaxed and supportive environment.
