TRUSTEE request for our CIO
⭐️Do you have lived experiences of Mental health trauma?
⭐️Are you or your children neurodiverse?
⭐️Do you have any experiences that could help create a safe and supportive space for families and individuals with SEN, provide access to much needed therapeutic trauma support?
Our Charity (CIO) is looking to appoint new trustees to help run and facilitate and deliver our evolving mission. Prior trustee experience is not required. A trustee for a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Foundation, will have key responsibilities related to the charity's governance, financial oversight, and legal compliance. They ensure the foundation operates within its charitable purposes, manages resources responsibly, and acts with reasonable care and skill.
Any Trustee will be required to have an enhanced DBS in line with our Safeguarding policies, partaking in training and supervision, will also take a key role in attending meetings, participating in decision-making, and upholding the foundation's governing documents and legal requirements. A Trustee will hold no liability for the foundation's debts and liabilities.
Other Core Responsibilities-
Ensuring the foundation's activities align with its charitable purposes and benefit the public.
Adhering to the foundation's governing document and relevant laws and regulations.
Participating in trustee meetings, contributing to discussions, and collectively making decisions.
Acting in the best interests of the foundation and avoiding conflicts of interest.
Respecting confidentiality and abiding by collective decisions.
Financial Management:
Overseeing the financial health of the foundation and ensuring its resources are used responsibly.
Making informed decisions about investments, borrowing, and spending.
Monitoring the foundation's financial position and ensuring it operates within its means.
Ensuring proper accounting and reporting procedures are followed.
Operational Oversight:
Understanding and contributing to the foundation's strategic planning.
Monitoring the performance of the foundation's activities and programs.
Ensuring the foundation's resources are used effectively to achieve its charitable aims.
Risk Management:
Identifying and mitigating potential risks to the foundation's assets and reputation.
Ensuring appropriate procedures are in place to protect against fraud and other abuses.
