As part of our ‘Stay Safe, Warm and Well This Winter’ campaign we have Lisa from Better Housing Better Health at The Jan Cutting Healthy Living Centre Wellbeing Hub next Wednesday 3rd December 11-1. She will be available offer help and advice with keeping warm and safe and is able to provide warm packs, CO2 alarms, draught excluders as well as other heating essentials. No appointment needed, just drop in.

🎅The Magic of Christmas Is Returning to Plymouth!

The Rotary Club of Plymouth UK - Devon is proud to bring back a tradition that has lit up our community for generations. This December, Santa’s Sleigh will once again glide through our streets — spreading joy, hope, and a little extra sparkle when we need it most.

🌟 We begin on Monday, 1st December in Peverell Park- 6pm.
It’s the perfect place to start a month filled with smiles, wonder, and the true spirit of giving.

Rotary is all about community, compassion, and service above self — and Santa’s Sleigh is one of the ways we share that spirit with Plymouth. When you come out to wave, cheer, or simply feel the magic, you become part of something bigger: a tradition that brings us together year after year.

Check out the ‘What’s On Guide’ below for a list of activities that will be happening on Saturday. There will be craft stalls, fun and games, storytelling with Inspire Theatre Collective with chocolate milk and cookies for the children, christmas craft activities, facepainting, temporary tattoos and a very special guest appearance from Kylo Ren all FREE for all the family to enjoy.
Cafe Scott will be open selling festive turkey baps, snacks and hot drinks.
There will be also be a raffle drawn on the day with tickets on sale for £1 per strip - available to buy from reception before the event or in the foyer area on the day.

Are you struggling with your mental health or know somebody who is? We are hosting drop in sessions with Rethink Mental Illness for anyone in need of support or wanting to know more about this service.

Come along tomorrow Thursday 27th November between 10-2pm and every fourth Thursday of the month thereafter at The Jan Cutting Healthy Living Centre Wellbeing Hub.

No appointments necessary, just drop in.

Free Liver Health Checks at The Jan Cutting Healthy Living Centre Wellbeing Hub on Tuesday 9th December 9-3pm.

Who is eligible?

Anyone 18+ with the following risk factors is encouraged to have a free fibroscan: • Type 2 Diabetic or pre-diabetic • Overweight (BMI 30 or above). Calculate your body mass index (BMI) - NHS • High Alcohol Consumption for 10+ years (i.e. 6 pints of beer or 1.5 bottles of wine per week). • Current/past history of blood borne virus (Hepatitis B or C)

Come along this morning between 9-11am and meet Community Support Workers from the CYPFS Neurodiversity Wellbeing Team Plymouth. They will be on hand to offer help and support with any concerns or challenges that your family may be facing as parents or carers of Neurodivergent children - from referral through to Diagnosis (no current diagnosis required) Just turn up, no need to book!

Tomorrow, as part of our Compassionate Café session we will be painting pebbles for our loved ones to go into the ‘Memorial Garden’ we are creating as part of our Community Garden.
We will also be planting some ‘forget-me-nots’ next year and look forward to watching them grow too.
We will be joined by Daisy and Sophie from the Green Communities Team who support our weekly gardening group that meets every Tuesday 1-3pm. Our Community ‘Patchwork’ Garden is situated on Wolseley Business Park and is a beautiful space for anybody to come and sit and enjoy. If you are interested in coming along tomorrow and want to find out more or just take part in the pebble painting activity - please just come along! All equipment will be provided.
