Let’s talk about intuition, that quiet voice we’ve been taught to second-guess.

If you’ve ever ignored your gut because someone’s words sounded nicer, softer, or more convenient…trust me, I’ve been there too. You want to believe the best in people. You want to take what they say at face value. But then, later on, you discover that little whisper inside you was right all along.

That’s not coincidence.
That’s not paranoia.
That’s not “overthinking.”

That is your power speaking.

Intuition isn’t loud or dramatic. It doesn’t try to convince you. It simply knows. And every time we silence it because someone else gives us a story that sounds better…we chip away at our confidence and feed our own self-limiting beliefs.

Here’s the truth:
People can mislead you, intentionally or not.

I’ve been thinking about how I came to have three familiars, each finding me in their own magickal way.

My first was Hecate, my beautiful cat. I’d wanted another cat for six years after losing my dear cat Tilly that loss broke my heart in ways I didn’t expect. Then one day, out of the blue, I got a call asking if I wanted to take in a cat who desperately needed a home. She arrived in a dirty box with a smelly towel, skinny and shy. But when we looked at each other… it was like two magnets snapping together. Something clicked. She can be out all day or night, but the second magick starts happening…there she is, watching over it all.

My second familiar is Matilda, the magpie. For months, a single magpie visited me every day at the same time without fail. I felt there was something special about her, so I did a spell asking her to be my familiar. Ever since, she’s given me signs and warnings that have never failed me.

Then came Elektra, my 7-month-old kitten! The trickiest and most chaotic of the three. She’s like a tiny storm wrapped in fur. She destroys things, tests my patience, and yet when she curls up on my lap and looks at me with those golden eyes… it’s like she sees straight into my soul. She feels like what I’d be if I were a cat! Beautiful, destructive chaos with purpose.

Each of them helps me in their own way, and together they make the perfect trio of energy, balance, and magick.

With Bonfire Night tomorrow, I couldn’t resist talking about the magic of fire 🔥✨

Bonfires have always held power in witchcraft, more than warmth and light, they’re living magic. Fire transforms, purifies, and protects. It burns away the old and fuels the new.

From Beltane’s passion flames to Samhain’s ancestral fires, witches have danced, chanted, and released spells to the crackle of burning wood. The smoke carries prayers skyward; the flames act as gateways between worlds.

So while the skies light up tomorrow, remember every spark and flicker is a spell in motion. 🔥✨

November is a month wrapped in mystery, transformation, and quiet magick. 🍂

The veil still lingers thin from Samhain, making it perfect for ancestor work, dream magick, and reflection. The energy shifts from the watery depths of Scorpio to the fiery inspiration of Sagittarius, guiding us from release into rekindling purpose.
