A fabulous colleague and gorgeous friend💗 A wonderful way to remember a special person.

In addition to the ASLTIP scheme, we’re honoured to host the Victoria Halstead Memorial Fund, established in 2025 by Andrea Van Vleck in memory of her daughter, Victoria. Victoria was an ASLTIP member whose passion for the profession continues to inspire. This biannual award is open to SLTs and assistants in independent practice who wish to develop good practice.

The award of up to £250 can be used for:

Staff training, individuals or teams purchase or partial purchase of equipment or to develop a resource which supports communication.

Each year we would like recipients to provide a short summary of their project with photographs and the outcomes which we will share on the ASLTIP website

Successful recipients of the Victoria Halstead Fund will be notified within 2 weeks of the deadline.

“Following my wife’s stroke in July, I decided to look for a speech therapist. I got in touch with KRH, who responded very quickly. Following the initial assessment of my wife, Kit started therapy. my wife’s level of aphasia was very severe. The improvement in my wife’s range of words and ability to recognise words and choose related objects has been excellent, in really what is a short period of time that Kit has been working with her. KRH comes highly recommended!”

On Sunday, I ran the TCS Amsterdam Marathon in memory of a good friend and to raise money for St Gemma’s Hospice 💜.

Training for and completing a marathon has given me a whole new respect for anyone who’s done one before — the mental and physical strength, commitment, and resilience it takes is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Six months of sheer determination🏃‍♀️.

At the same time, I’ve been pouring that same determination into another passion — starting KRH Speech Therapy💬
This new venture is built on my love for what I do and my goal to make speech therapy accessible, flexible, and affordable for those who can access it.

It’s been a crazy few months — full of challenge, growth, and accomplishment — and I’m really proud of that. 💜 Here’s a photo of me with my finisher medal🏅.
