Managed to get it out with eye loops and crocodile forceps! Apple quoted £400 to remove!
Microsuction and iPad repairs offered 😂😂

Seeing lots of people who are using cotton buds to remove ear wax.

Ear wax can be problematic, when it causes complete blockages.
But the presence of ear wax is a normal, healthy substance with lots of different functions.

This is an extract from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence on the function of Ear Wax:

"Earwax is a normal physiological substance that is a combination of dead flattened cells, cerumen (a wax-like substance), sebum, and various foreign substances (such as cosmetics and dirt)."

"It cleans, lubricates, and protects the lining of the ear canal, trapping dirt, dust, and hair, and repelling water. It is acidic and normally coats the walls of the ear canal, inhibiting the growth of bacteria and fungi."

So before sticking cotton buds in your ear - consider that you are removing the national protection that wax provides.

I am more than happy to come and fish these cotton buds out of your ears when they get stuck. But you need a bit of ear wax.
