Busy week at Lewis Jackson Safety.

We’ve taken on a new Teeth Whitening client, a roofing contractor, and a ductwork company, with another sunbed salon lined up and ready to go.

On top of that, we stepped in for a regular client when their fire alarm system failed. We supplied and set up a new detection system, updated the fire risk assessment to reflect the changes, and put a simple weekly check sheet in place to keep everything compliant and running properly.

We’ve also proudly sponsored Blaenavon Under 15’s RFC (moving into U16s next season) – good to support local teams coming through.

I’ve had a few enquiries recently about how working with Lewis Jackson Safety actually works, so just to clarify:

As a Health & Safety Consultant, my role is to identify risks, provide practical systems, and advise on effective control measures — to the same standard I would apply within my own business. Sometimes these controls can seem a nuisance and not necessarily, but I can promise anything I have highlighted are required for protecting your staff, your clients and your business.

Implementation and day-to-day management of those systems always sits with the business. I will support as much as possible, but it requires management buy-in and commitment to be effective.

Ongoing compliance can only be achieved where there is consistent engagement from the client.

As part of a recent safety package upgrade, we designed, sourced and installed new safety signage for one of our clients. The aim was to make sure all required health and safety signage was fully compliant with regulations, while still matching the look and feel of the business so the overall aesthetics weren’t compromised.
