What a wet and windy day but remember we are so close to being done with January and there already signs of spring in the garden. It is hard to see these signs of hope or to have any thoughts of happiness as we grieve but I love these words from a poem by Donna Ashworth as a gentle reminder that it is ok just to be you, to grieve your way and when you are ready look out for the smallest signs of joy ⚘️⚘️🌻🌻🌹🌹

Today marks the beginning of National Grief Awareness Week" the theme for 2025 is 'Growing with Grief'. The aim is to highlight how grief is an ending in many ways, but can also be the beginning of something new. The growth people may experience from grief doesn't erase the pain, but can help people to become more present, compassionate and aware of what matters in life.

Remember to be kind to yourself, there is no time limit to grief, reach out if you need support from family, friends or by attending bereavement events such as local cafés who arrange monthly coffee mornings or memorial carol concerts.

🎄 Calling All Local Small Businesses 🎄

On Friday 19th December at 6pm, we will be holding our Christmas Memorial Carol Service, a gentle, reflective evening for families remembering loved ones. As part of the event, we’re inviting a small number of local businesses to join us with Christmas craft and gift stalls to bring a warm festive touch to the night.

We have limited spaces (around 6–8 stalls) available and are particularly looking for small businesses offering handmade items, seasonal gifts, and festive crafts.

Stallholders may arrive from 4pm, with all stalls to be fully set up by 5pm, ready for guests arriving from 5:30pm onwards.

To secure a stall, we’re asking for a £10 donation, which will be passed on to our chosen charity this year.
