Kate’s Physio Yoga
I am a senior chartered physiotherapist with over 11 years experience in the musculoskeletal field. I am also a Yoga Alliance-qualified yoga teacher and AACP qualified acupuncturist. I love to fuse together my knowledge in yoga, physiotherapy and acupuncture to tailor holistic treatments and classes. I'm passionate about getting people moving, to nourish both body and soul. I post daily ‘physio-yoga nuggets’ on Instagram to guide you in looking after you body plus keeping you up to date with the most current research in everything to do with the body and mind.
I offer physiotherapy, physiotherapy-led yoga classes, acupuncture and massage. I have a private clinic room in North Bristol, close to Blaise and am available to come to your home. More details on my website: www.katephysio.co.uk.
I also run Anatomy and Physiology Physio-Yoga Workshops for yoga teachers in and around Bristol.
All physiotherapy-led yoga classes involve dynamic hatha flow yoga (which links breath with movement), nourishing whole body movement and strengthening, pranayama (breathing exercises) and guided relaxation. I teach a unique blend of not so traditional yoga plus evidence based Physiotherapy practices in terms of strength training, flexibility and knowledge of what our bodies like! The yoga itself is much more than a particular pose or shape; it’s a way of deepening the awareness of mind working with body and learning to listen to your body and find some peace.
