Honouring those who served: today and always.

Today, across Agincare’s nationwide care services, we paused to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served, and those who continue to serve, in our armed forces.

Our Head Office stands just a stone’s throw from the very shores where thousands of troops from the US 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions departed for Normandy on D-Day. It’s a daily reminder of the courage and sacrifice that shaped our freedom.

Our Founder and Chairman, a passionate historian, created the award-winning Castletown D-Day Centre to honour both the American troops and the local heroes of Weymouth and Portland.

It was a privilege to see our teams, and the people we support, unite in remembrance across the country. We’re proud to employ and care for many who have served, and to be recognised with the 2025 Defence Silver Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award - a testament to our ongoing support for the Armed Forces community.

A particularly moving moment came from our Fulford Care Home in Littlehampton, where a 100-year-old resident laid a wreath at their local war memorial, accompanied by Registered Manager Sarah.

We will remember them.

🇬🇧 This morning, we’re attending the Service of Remembrance at Portland Cenotaph.

We pause to honour the bravery and sacrifice of all who have served, and those who continue to serve today.

Castletown, where our Head Office now stands, saw thousands of allied troops depart for the D-Day operations.

Today we honour those who sacrificed for their freedoms we enjoy today.

We will remember them.

Showcasing Success at Elizabeth Court, Dorchester 🎥

Today at our Elizabeth Court supported living service in Dorchester, we were delighted to welcome Dorset Council UK as part of an exciting video project.

The filming highlighted some of the fantastic results achieved through our ongoing partnership. Registered Manager Emma Tracey Williams shared how residents at Elizabeth Court have truly thrived within this supportive and inclusive environment.

Set just behind Dorchester’s iconic Brewery Square, Elizabeth Court is a specialist service comprising twelve self-contained flats over three storeys and four spacious bungalows.

The service meets NHS England Autism Standards for accommodation, offering enhanced accessibility, reduced environmental hazards, and specially adapted kitchen facilities to promote independence.

Agincare Enable is our specialist complex care service, with a strong record of partnership working with local authorities to deliver person-centred support for people with a learning disability, autistic spectrum condition, and/or physical disability.

Our housing partner, Inclusion Housing, provides hands-on, fortnightly housing management to help tenants maintain their tenancies.

Agincare Enable has grown into one of the UK’s leading complex care providers - covering supported living, community outreach, and day and respite services.

A huge thank you to residents John (pictured below), Matt, and Karen for sharing their experiences of life at Elizabeth Court as part of today’s filming.

We are incredibly proud to support the Movember UK, a leading men’s health charity that raises awareness and provides vital support for testicular cancer, prostate cancer, mental health, and su***de prevention.

At Agincare, our Open Door policy is always there for the people we support and for every member of our team. We want everyone to know that they can reach out and be heard.

Through our People Programme, we continue to invest in the wellbeing of our teams both inside and outside of work. With Mental Health First Aiders in every location, a detailed Employee Wellness Guide, and the ongoing support of our experienced HR team, we are here for you.

If you are finding things difficult, please talk to someone. You are never alone. The rate of male su***de in the UK is deeply worrying, with three out of four su***des being men.

As the Movember Foundation reminds us, we cannot sit back and accept this.

Together, let’s keep the conversation open, support one another, and make a real difference. 💙

Celebrating Sara's 10 Incredible Years with Agincare!

Sara Moncrieff has been at the heart of our live-in care service from the very start of her journey with Agincare, taking on pivotal roles including Field Care Supervisor, Projects Manager, and, in recent years as Training Manager.

With her wealth of experience in care, Sara plays a key role in training our new live-in care workers. Her induction sessions are not only insightful and comprehensive but brought to life through her personal stories of supporting people in care.

Despite her busy schedule, Sara stays connected to the frontline by continuing to support a local live-in care client, building a wonderful relationship over the years.

In 2024, we proudly recognised Sara and the Live-in Care South West team (pictured) with the Care Team of the Year award - a testament to their success and dedication, particularly through their fantastic results within the hospital discharge service.

Beyond her formal role, Sara is a pillar of support for our live-in care workers, especially our international team members who value her empathy, knowledge, and unfailing good humour!

🗣️ Reflecting on her decade with Agincare, Sara said:

“The best thing about working for Agincare is that people listen to you. Even as a new member of the team, my ideas were heard, and many were implemented into our training programme.

"I’m so thankful to work for a care provider that truly values collaboration and the sharing of experiences.”

Please join us in celebrating the one and only Sara Moncrieff for ten years of dedication, compassion, and excellence. Here’s to many more! 💐💙

We’re proud to share that Wessex RFCA has awarded Agincare the 2025 Defence Silver Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award, recognising our ongoing support for the Armed Forces community.

This honour reflects our commitment not only in policy but through our people, and our close alignment with the Armed Forces Covenant: ensuring those who serve, or have served, and their families are treated with fairness and respect.

Dan Steadman our Group HR and Organisational Development Director and a proud RAF veteran, attended the awards ceremony alongside Clare Cherry, who leads on our Recruitment Projects including our People Programme.

Reflecting on the achievement, Dan shared:

“As a family-owned care provider of over 40 years, at Agincare we recognise that the attributes of HMF veterans align perfectly with our own values such as service, pride and quality.

“We are delighted to be able to welcome people from HMF into our workforce across a broad range of disciplines and roles, ranging from direct care delivery and catering through to procurement, facilities, general management and into senior leadership positions and board level within the organisation.”

We’re grateful to Wessex RFCA and Defence Relationship Management for their trust, collaboration, and shared mission.

🌟 Celebrating Excellence at Agincare! 🌟

We are absolutely delighted to announce Philip Ugwoke as our Overall Employee of the Month!

Live in Care Field Care Supervisor Samantha Jo Pitchford visited Philip to present him with not one, but two incredible awards: our Central live in care service Employee of the Month and our prestigious company wide Overall Employee of the Month! 🏆💙

This double recognition truly highlights Philip’s exceptional commitment to his role and the people he supports.

Day in and day out, Philip demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm, qualities that make a remarkable difference to the lives of those around him.

During the visit, Samantha Jo was joined by her client Richard’s family, who had written a beautiful, heartfelt message about Philip’s kindness and the positive impact he’s had on their dad, Richard.

In their words, Philip is “wonderful and caring,” and has built a meaningful connection that brings great comfort and trust.

Their words were shared inside a Thank You card, which Philip was deeply touched to read.

Richard’s sons, James and Andy, attended the presentation to personally thank Philip for his outstanding care and dedication. Their sister, Sarah, who is currently on holiday, was informed of the award and expressed how proud and pleased she was to hear of his achievement.

Philip’s warmth, reliability, and unwavering commitment reflect everything we stand for at Agincare. He embodies the very best of what it means to provide person centred, heartfelt care, making a real difference every single day.

Congratulations, Philip, on this well deserved recognition! Your hard work, compassion, and professionalism are truly inspiring to us all. 👏💫

✨ We were truly privileged to share a deeply personal story that highlights the incredible impact our live-in care worker, Mary, has had on her client, Emily, and her family.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Emily’s mum, Dawn, for so warmly welcoming us into their home and allowing us to share their experience.

With the expert guidance of our Clinical Lead Cher Goodyer-El Meheiry, Mary has undertaken extensive complex care training, but it’s through getting to know Emily over the past two years that she’s really learned what matters most: understanding her preferences, personality, and the little things that make a big difference every day.

It was so important to Emily’s family that she could remain at home, surrounded by the people she loves - joining in with daily routines and enjoying the independence to live life her way. 💙
