Our 2025 season officially finished up on the 10th of October but we have been a little busy since then to do a post. A couple of days after our last tour we welcomed our baby boy, Finn 🩵 excited to add a 4th crew member to SeaflowerSkye 👶🏻 We are spending the winter enjoying being a family of 4!

Now the dust has settled it’s given us a chance to reminisce over a fantastic season. Thanks to everyone who joined us onboard. The weather and wildlife was very kind to us! We also want to say a massive thank you to Alex for all his hard work over the summer. Since we finished the tours, he has successfully completed his commercially endorsed Advanded Powerboat licence. We are delighted to have him returning next season.

The 2026 calendar is live on our website. Already looking forward to getting out on the water next spring. We also have vouchers made up for Christmas which is coming in thick and fast!

We’ve been quiet on social medial so far this season but we have been plugging away hosting our tours. Hard to believe it’s June already!

Last week saw a very busy schedule operating private bookings. We covered a lot of sea, experiencing rain, sunshine and hail stones along the way. We visited Torridon, Rona, Raasay and Applecross but the highlight had to be The Shiants. The birdlife and geology there are simply amazing. Photos and videos just don’t do it justice, however here’s an overview of last week’s adventures to give you an idea of the excursions we hosted to these wonderful locations!

We are nearly ready to welcome guests back onboard, looking forward to getting back out in the water next month! Very productive and busy week in Stornoway giving Seaflower some TLC. She’s looking shiny and ready for summer! Thanks to KR Valeting Services, Marvig Boatyard and Stornoway Port Authority for carrying out the pre-season maintenance.

•Crew Accommodation •

We have a crew member relocating to Skye for the 2025 season. Looking for accomodation in or around Portree, will consider anywhere in the north of the island as we know options are limited.

Preference is somewhere private, ie a house, flat, or static caravan. Happy to explore house share options too.

Crew member is a professional 28 year old male. Very mature and non smoker. He’s looking forward to moving to Skye and exploring the outdoors on his days off.

We are hiring!! Excellent opportunity to join a fun, family run, outdoor business!
SeaflowerSkye is a boat tour company based in Portree. We offer day trips to Skye’s beautiful neighbouring islands. We are looking to take on a skipper and crew members from April until mid October for the upcoming season. Must be friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic, have an eye for detail and be interested in wildlife and local history.

Roles will include:
- Ensuring comfort and safety of guests onboard
- Sharing stories and local knowledge
- Assisting to host and serve lunch on board
- Upkeep of boat cleanliness

RYA training and experience in the marine tourism/hospitality industry preferred but not essential. Full, on the job training will be provided.
Working outdoors, daily wildlife encounters, visiting beautiful + remote islands and a good rate of pay are just some of the perks! Full time or part time crew & skipper positions available depending on experience.
