ld like to find out more about how counselling may help you, please email me at: thelaurels@protonmail.com to arrange a free initial telephone consultation. I am an experienced and fully insured Person Centred Counsellor accredited in online and telephone counselling who also has experience in other modalities such as CBT so work according to your needs and requirements. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I work within their Ethical Framework and I provide my clients with a caring, safe, empathic space where they can explore whatever difficulties and issues life is bringing, at their own pace and without feeling judged. We all feel nervous and anxious when we first begin counselling but in my experience it is a journey worth investing in and is the ultimate in self care, which is so important with the stresses and strains of modern day life and can lead to a deeper sense of fulfilment and happiness on so many levels. In these times with the rising cost of living I am offering counselling which is affordable, flexible and accessible, so concessions are always available. Please do ask.

Caring for a pet or animal companion can support our mental health in many ways, including:

- Pets can give you a sense of security and companionship. Caring for them can help you feel wanted and needed.
- The companionship of a pet can help to ease your anxiety
- Pets can be great listeners, offer unconditional love and won’t criticise you. This can help your self-confidence, especially if you feel isolated or misunderstood
- Increasing our physical activity, particularly if you’re a companion to a dog
- Needing to feed, exercise and care for a pet can help you keep to a daily routine, which can help you feel more grounded and focused. It can give your day purpose and a sense of achievement.

Today, as part of , we will be sharing a few photos of our animal companions and introducing some of our services. While reflecting on the support we can offer to and receive from our pets/ animal companions.
