Communication is so important as a therapist. You can say all the things you want but if it isn’t heard it’s irrelevant.
This is useful in relationships as although we can communicate a point it isn’t always listened to and therefore not heard.
Using metaphors, interests and speaking in a non confrontational way allows us to be heard better and our point to be listened to. Being right but unheard is pointless and a waste of words.
