Hellooo 👋 it’s been a while ay! We’ve been going through some big changes over here, the most exciting one being that we’re moving our little family all the way to beautiful Devon this month! A fresh new start for a fresh new decade! I am SO excited to get teaching again and to bring the wonderful to the South West. I’ll be covering all of Devon and Somerset with private classes starting in January. Isn’t it amazing how a new (and slightly daunting) adventure can reenergise you? Ps. All I want for Christmas...is packing boxes! 👍😜

Tonight is the first session of the brand new Mind, Body, Bump classes that and I are running in Gosport and both Lisa and I are so excited! Tonight’s session, run by Lisa, will focus on some wonderful pregnancy yoga. Then next week I’ll be taking the ladies through some breathing, guided relaxation and antenatal education. Pregnancy Relaxation Classes in Gosport starting 25th April, 6-7pm.

Every Breath has joined forces with The Yoga Being to offer a comprehensive pregnancy course that is educational, relaxing, and helps support a healthy body and mind during pregnancy and birth. Classes alternate pregnancy yoga and hypnobirthing over a 6 week block to help you enjoy a calm, healthy pregnancy, meet other local pregnant ladies, and explore any questions or concerns you may have about birth.

Birth Preferences ✨✨ I much prefer the term ‘preferences’ as opposed to ‘plan’, because we all know that by it’s very nature, no birth goes exactly to ‘plan’, and that’s not a bad thing! However, it is important to think about your preferences for birth and note them down for your caregivers to refer to and discuss with you. It’s part of owning your birth journey and having a two way dialogue with your caregivers, helping to ensure that you have a positive and empowering birth experience.
I’ve designed these customisable birth preference templates for my hypnobirthing clients. They go perfectly with the birth preferences guide in student workbook, and are designed to be eyecatching (no getting lost in the back of your notes for these bad boys!) and concise, to help your caregivers understand your preferences clearly and quickly.

I was lucky enough to hear speak at the conference yesterday. She spoke about our relationship with self care and why it’s so important to stop feeling guilty about taking time to focus on ourselves. I’m teaching a pregnancy relaxation class tonight and I’m going to share a few of Suzy’s tips with the ladies, because self care is (I believe) a vital requirement during pregnancy, and throughout motherhood. Learning to look after yourself so that you can look after other people, being the best version of yourself for those people, AND for your own sake. These things are lifegiving!
Personally, self care has been something I’ve only started to focus on recently. I’m trying to drink more water, I’m trying to talk to myself more kindly, I’ve started making time to do yoga (sometimes at a class, often in my living room in front of YouTube), and I find having a long bubble bath at least once a week gives me time and space to think and reflect. These are small things but they make a big difference!

Affirmations are truly a powerful tool for reframing subconscious thoughts and emotional responses. When you tell yourself something positive everyday (or hear it, or read it...) it starts to change how you feel in your mind, and where the mind leads the body follows!
