Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of self-care and self-healing. The sister science to Yoga, it originated in India over 5000 years ago, and has been passed down through the generations in
timeless texts and living traditions. Universal in its scope and practical in its wisdom, Ayurveda
perfectly addresses the holistic wellbeing needs of the modern age.
A personalised lifestyle medicine, the individuality of the body-mind is assessed according to a
system known as the three Doshas, the bio-energetics which govern our unique physiology. In
this session we will discover the current status of our Doshas, and learn wellness practices to bring
balance.

Living in synchrony with the rhythms of Nature is key to an Ayurvedic way of life, and here we will understand the importance of alignment with the seasonal changes of Autumn and Winter, with simple lifestyle practices manifesting harmony in body mind and spirit.

Rooted in nature , I am in my element teaching mindfulness and qi gong here every Monday morning at Fullarton woods, a place I explored with curious mind as a child , this place taught me so much then and now, calming my senses helping me feel connnected with myself and making me feel good.

Boosted Immune Function:
Exposure to phytoncides (natural compounds released by trees) can increase the activity of natural killer (NK) cells, which help fight infections and cancer.

Lower Blood Pressure & Heart

I spent a lovely afternoon chatting with Dr Irfan Merchant, an Ayurvedic doctor in Ayrshire. We share an interest in helping people develop a sense of peace and deep presence of this very moment. He offers weekly Satsang sessions and one to one in his clinic in Ayr.

I weave ancient practices of breath work and meditation into most my session’s whether we are outdoors in on the beach or forest, in a hall or a beautiful retreat venue. Being a silent watcher of your thoughts and body in a non judgemental way helps foster and develop kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others but ultimately helps people foster a deep sense of inner peace ✌️ 🙏😇

I led a beautiful meditation and mindful walking session today through a woodland, we all collected different leafs, flowers, etc and then spend time mindfully creating a Mandala together , creating union and communication between each of us and nature.. we then spent time enjoying the sounds of the forest whilst mediating on the mandala .. resulting in peace and connectedness 🌳🙏💐

A mandala, a Sanskrit word for "circle," symbolizes the universe, its interconnectedness, and the cyclical nature of life. It's a visual representation of the cosmos, often used in Hinduism and Buddhism as a tool for meditation and spiritual practice. The mandala's circular form represents wholeness, unity, and eternity.
