Tiny Habits, Lasting Calm — three easy tweaks I use with clients to calm the evening, boost sleep quality and ultimately give you more energy.

1) Write a to-do list for the next day so you can switch off more easily
2) Sleep wind-down: dim the lights and do 10 minutes of slow breathing or meditation to signal rest.
3) Screen-free boundary: turn screens off 30–60 minutes before bed and pick a soothing ritual like reading a book instead.

These are personalised, not perfect — try one for a week and notice what difference it makes to your quality of sleep.

This is a lovely light, tasty and easy dessert or breakfast recipe. Lots of healthy fats and protein to keep you full and energised. You can use normal yoghurt if you prefer and the h**p hearts/seeds can be found in most health food shops and some supermarkets but can be replaced with a handful of other mixed seeds instead. Enjoy!

I talk to all of my clients about this plate method so thought I'd share it. It focusses on ensuring you cover half of your plate with veg or salad, then the other two quarters with protein and healthy carbs. You can also include a bit of healthy fat (avocado, olives, olive oil, cheese etc too). The protein doesn't need to be meat and can be plant based sources such as tofu, beans, edamame, quinoa etc. This way of eating ensures you are balancing your blood sugar and giving your body a good range of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients which will help to minimise many menopause symptoms.
