I finally finished the rewrites on Inspector Raju Suspects and here is the blurb.

Inspector Krishnam Raju works in the Indian port city of Visakhapatnam, and he has a lot of cases to try to solve. Most of his cases are fairly routine, a few are more exotic and some are just bizarre or perhaps even supernatural. Dealing with mysterious murders, brutal burglaries, scammers, fraud, family disputes, an old fortune teller who was battered and even gem swapping, Krishnam always does his best for the people he polices. He puts his successes down to luck and good police team work, being a modest, caring man who fails to recognise both his own intelligence and the way he inspires others.
Life can take directions that even Krishnam does not expect.

Middle-aged Krishnam has never found the time to marry and he is not sure he can really afford a wife or family on his salary. Sometimes good karma reaches out and changes what a man sees as his destiny and if he is bold enough he may live to be grateful for his opportunities.

I have started a new book. It is a Georgian historical romance with gypsies. Set in France and England. It will be Cinnamenta's Tale, Book 1 of the Gypsy Countess series. I have already written book 2 but felt it needed a prequel. So I have not released Jessica's Tale Book 2. It will be a trilogy and the third will be Ocean's Tale. I have been working in between things over the past few months on the research needed, it is a difficult period of history as before and during the beginnings of the French revolution. Then I wrote an outline and finally got the courage up to write the first paragraphs. I am looking forward to writing more.

I am close to finishing the first draft of Inspector Raju Suspects, it is a mystery, police story with just a touch of fantasy, set in modern day India. I wrote it after writing a long short fantasy story about Inspector Krishnam Raju and readers liked it and wanted more. So that is what I have been writing. The book includes the original short story for those who have not read it, but is full length without it, so those who have already read it are not being short-changed. I hope to get it out soon.

In the meantime if you want something to read for Halloween, may I suggest Wishing Well Cottage, a magical modern romance between a white witch and a slightly tarnished wizard. If you love that there is a sequel already out called Friends of Wishing Well Cottage.
