✔ Structural blockwork & brickwork completed
✔ Wall plates installed level and true
✔ New roof joists measured, cut and installed
✔ Joists securely fixed and evenly spaced
✔ Openings and services allowed for
✔ Temporary supports used throughout
✔ Site kept clean, tidy and protected

This stage creates the main structure of the extension and gets everything ready for insulation, decking and weatherproofing next.

Stage 2 Complete – Slab Preparation & Pour 🧱

Another big milestone ticked off on this extension 💪
This stage was all about getting everything spot on before the concrete went down.

✔️ Ground reduced and compacted
✔️ Type 1 sub-base installed
✔️ DPM fully tanked and sealed
✔️ Insulation boards laid tight for thermal efficiency
✔️ Steel reinforcement installed on spacers
✔️ Services set and protected
✔️ Concrete poured and compacted using a concrete poker for a solid, void-free slab

Strong foundations are everything — now we’re ready to move up and start building 🧱🔥

EXTENSION BUILD – STAGE 1 🏗️

This extension was completed by the team at Porter Construction in 2025.
Over the next few reels, we’ll show the build step by step so you can see exactly what goes into turning ideas into reality.

This reel shows stage one: footings.
Traditional dig-out, inspected by Building Control.
Ground conditions were excellent, but mini piling was required — completed with no issues.
Steel cages installed, mass concrete poured, and compacted using a vibrating poker for strength and level finish.

Solid foundations = quality build.

Another project for a returning customer who’s trusted us over the years with bedroom remaps, a garage conversion, and bathrooms 👏

This time they wanted a dividing wall and a traditional-style media wall with a modern finish.

Before starting, we used AI design visuals so they could see exactly how it would look — and it turned out incredible 🔥
✨ LED lighting in each recess
✨ Solid oak mantel
✨ Built-in units with hand-painted doors

As the year comes to an end, we thought we’d share just one of the many jobs we’ve completed this year 🙌
What a year it’s been!

A huge thank you to all our customers, new and old — your support genuinely means everything to us.

This was a kitchen renovation in Preston, completed for an elderly lady who needed us in and out with minimal disruption — and that’s exactly what we did.

🔨 What we carried out:
• Full strip-out of the old kitchen
• Brand new electrics from the consumer unit
• New plumbing for all appliances
• Ceiling re-boarded & re-plastered
• Sprayed finish using an air compressor
• 18mm solid-back kitchen
• Ivory shaker, hand-painted doors
• Butcher’s block worktops
• LVT flooring

From first design to final finish, the transformation was amazing — and the customer was absolutely blown away 🤍

⏱️ Completed in just 10 days
