Spectrum Home Care is a private, family-run care provider based in Berkshire that offers domiciliary and live-in care services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our aim is to offer you the very best care in your own home and be transparent in the way we do so, such as only providing carers our clients have personally approved. We dedicate a care team to each of our clients, consisting of a carer, care manager and field supervisor. Together we will work with you to create a bespoke care plan which allows you to maintain your independence as well as giving you the right support.

Daily Home Care - Whether you need help getting up, eating, washing & using the bathroom, going to bed or just some company. We will be happy to assist with pretty much any support you need around the house. You can have as little or much support as you need and we work with you to develop a care and support plan that is right for you. Your plan will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure you receive the best support required at all times.
Live-In care is available as Companionship and Personal care.
If you are mobile but would like the support and reassurance that someone is there to share and help you with your day and at night just in case - then companionship is for you. Some of the tasks they can assist you with include:
helping you get up
making your bed
washing and help with your bathroom needs
meal planning and preparation including food shoppig
social outings
helping you into bed
medication assistance
Personal live-in care is designed to assist you if you are less mobile and need a little bit more support. If you feel you need more intensive live-in care, please take a look at our respite and convalescent care section.
Who will help me?
All our carers are experienced in the delivery of individual live-in care and have perfected their practical skills. In addition to this, all carers receive 'on the job' training to ensure the individual needs of our clients are met and regularly reviewed. With live-in care being such a personal service, we go to great lengths to find you someone who is empathetic to your approach to life.
Looking after you and your home
The benefit of care in your own home is not just about supporting your personal needs. You may also feel you would like some support in maintaining your home and garden. For this reason we offer a full domestic care package which includes gardening, cleaning, meal preparation and running repairs. In addition, you can rest assure that we will apply the same care to your home and possessions as we do to you personally. From meeting your friends for lunch or a coffee, going shopping, seeing a show or just some companionship, it is always lovely to have something to look forward to. With some assistance, let us at Spectrum Home Care help you enjoy these little pleasures. We can help prepare activities and maintain links with your friends or even accompany you. We can work together to understand what you enjoy doing and create a plan that works best for you.
Our respite care service is mainly used when you need extra support. We can help you work out the exact level of assistance you need as this can vary from companionship to full 24 hour support. Our highly experienced team will work together to make sure you receive the right level of care.
Convalescent Care
Our convalescent care package provides you with a full care service to support you during periods of critical illness, or after leaving hospital. One of our fully trained and experienced carers will watch over you, support and attend to you at all hours of the day and night. This is not a sleepover service; our reliable carers will be rotated on regular shifts and be alert at all times to offer you maximum support.
We can make arrangements to visit you at the hospital and make a full assessment of your needs in order to make the right care plan for your discharge. Our service can also include picking you up from the hospital and taking you home.
At Spectrum Home Care we have our own mobile optometrist who can provide you with eye examinations in the comfort of your home, if you are unable to attend a practice unaccompanied. Our expert Optometrist will work with you to accommodate any special needs ensuring a comfortable and confidential examination.
Our services also include dispensing, delivery and fitting spectacles.
