We’ve had such a wonderful and lively time at our care home, filled with smiles, More...Creativity, and lots of engaging activities for our lovely residents!

Our residents have been keeping busy with a variety of fun and stimulating activities throughout the week. From arts and crafts sessions, where creativity truly shined, to interactive games and puzzles that kept everyone engaged and active - there was something for everyone to enjoy. 🎨🧩

We also enjoyed some light physical activities, including fun ball games that brought laughter and energy into the room. It was heartwarming to see everyone participating, encouraging one another, and simply having a great time together. 🏐😊

One of the highlights of the week was our relaxing sensory session, creating a calm and soothing atmosphere for our residents to unwind and enjoy some peaceful moments. 🌈✨

And the fun didn’t stop there! We were delighted to have our wonderful nurse Rose join us for a cheerful sing-along and a bit of dancing. 🎶💃

It was such a special moment seeing residents and staff come together, singing their favourite songs, clapping along, and sharing pure joy and laughter.

Moments like these truly make our home a happy and vibrant place to be. We are so proud to create meaningful experiences that bring comfort, happiness, and a sense of community to our residents every day.

What a wonderful and memorable day for our residents! We enjoyed a lovely outing to a local pet shop, where everyone had an amazing time exploring and interacting with the animals. From watching the colourful fish swimming peacefully in the tanks to meeting the adorable guinea pigs, playful rats, and other small animals - it brought so many smiles and moments of joy to our residents. 🐠🐹

After all the excitement, we took a relaxing coffee break together, sharing conversations, laughter, and enjoying the warm atmosphere.

What made the day even more special was that our residents were full of energy and enthusiasm - they weren’t ready to head back just yet! Right next door was a beautiful garden centre, and they were eager to explore. 🌷🌿

At the garden centre, our residents had a fantastic time choosing flowers and plants for our care home garden. It was heartwarming to see everyone so involved and excited about preparing for our summer gardening. 🌸🌻

Days like these are so important, creating meaningful experiences, encouraging independence, and bringing happiness to everyone involved. We’re already looking forward to planting our new flowers and watching our garden bloom this summer!

Our activity programme is always full of fun and variety, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. From relaxing arts and crafts sessions where residents can express More...Creativity, to lively ball games that keep everyone active and smiling, each activity is designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing.

We also offer More...Sensory activities that provide comfort, stimulation, and a chance to connect through touch, sound, and familiar experiences. These moments are especially valuable in creating a calming and enjoyable environment for all.

One of the absolute favourites among our residents is the “Famous Faces” activity! It’s always lovely to see everyone getting involved - sharing memories, recognising well-known personalities, and enjoying plenty of laughter and conversation together. It’s a wonderful way to spark memories and bring everyone closer.
Seeing our residents happy, engaged, and enjoying themselves is what makes everything so special!

We had a truly wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday with our lovely residents! The day was filled with joy, laughter, and lots of special moments that made everyone feel appreciated and cherished.

We enjoyed some delicious, yummy cakes and sweet treats, which were a big hit all around! 🍰 Alongside the treats, we created a relaxing and pampering atmosphere where everyone could unwind and feel special - because they truly deserve it.

We also had a fantastic time getting creative with arts and crafts. 🎨🖌️ We saw More...Creativity shine through as they made beautiful pieces with love and care.

It was a day full of smiles, meaningful conversations, and lovely memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special!

What a fantastic time we had celebrating St. Patrick’s Day here at The Devonshire! The day was filled with laughter, music, and wonderful memories shared by our residents and staff.

Everyone truly got into the spirit by dressing up in shades of green, adding a joyful atmosphere throughout the home. We enjoyed some lovely drinks, including delicious Guinness and Baileys, which added a special touch to the celebration 🍻

The highlight of the day was the music and fun activities - we explored and played Irish instruments, bringing the true essence of Irish culture to life. The sound of music filled the rooms, and it was heartwarming to see everyone smiling, joining in, and enjoying themselves.

It was a day full of togetherness, happiness, and celebration, creating moments that will be cherished by all 💚

We had a fantastic week filled with fun, laughter and meaningful activities with our lovely residents.

Our residents enjoyed taking part in a variety of engaging activities throughout the week. From exciting target games that encouraged focus and friendly competition, to our “Famous Faces” activity where residents had great fun recognising well-known personalities and sharing memories and stories.

We also had enjoyable ball exercise sessions which helped residents stay active while improving movement, coordination and flexibility in a fun and supportive group environment.

One of the highlights was our lovely trip to Pottery Pals with Myley. Our residents had a wonderful time choosing their favourite pottery items such as mugs, plates and bowls. They enjoyed painting and decorating their chosen pieces themselves, showing great creativity and enthusiasm. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone so engaged and proud of their beautiful creations.

Activities like these are so important as they encourage social interaction, More...Creativity, More...Movement and bring lots of joy to our residents. It was a truly special week full of smiles and wonderful moments.

We recently organised a lovely trip to Pottery Pals with Myley for our residents, and it turned out to be a truly enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone. Our residents were very excited to take part in the activity and had a wonderful time exploring the different pottery items available. They carefully selected their favourite pieces such as mugs, plates and bowls, choosing designs that they personally liked.

Once they had chosen their items, they enjoyed painting and decorating them by themselves. It was lovely to see More...Creativity and enthusiasm as they picked colours, designed patterns and proudly worked on their pottery pieces. The activity gave them the opportunity to express themselves while also spending quality time together in a relaxed and cheerful environment.

Everyone had a fantastic time, sharing laughter and conversations throughout the session. The residents were very proud of their beautiful creations and truly enjoyed the whole experience. It was a wonderful outing that brought a lot of joy, engagement and a sense of achievement.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house today as our lovely resident Micky took to the keys! As a former piano teacher, Micky has spent her life sharing the gift of music with others, and today, she shared with us.

It was more than just a concert, it was a beautiful trip down memory lane. Thank you, Micky for filling our home with such wonderful melodies and reminding us that talent truly has no age.
