A very happy customer today, Stage2 on a 2.0t. From 150bhp to 252 bhp & 373 nm of Torque. Massive change in performance.

The car arrived running quite rough, this was soon diagnosed as some absolutely shot spark plugs. They had been in there a very long time !. So a fresh set of plugs were called for.

This is still our most popular Remap, 100 bhp increase for £180.
However its not just about the increase in performance, our remaps give special attention to the 20-30% throttle area when driving in town areas. Much improved drivability which comes very close to that of a modern turbo car. Completely transforming the way the car drives.

Just gauging interest...
How many UK folk would be interested in doing "Track Days" in a group with other Saab owners ?.

Myself and my son did our first ever track day a few weeks ago and now we are hooked. Would be even more fun with other Saab owners.
If there is interest then i will setup a dedicated Chat group.

Footage from our first ever Track Day, here at Thruxton circuit in the UK. With zero experience between us today turned out to be a massive learning curve. Who knew driving a car fast was so difficult !. In the morning session we took out my Vauxhall Astra SRi XP 1.8. Starting with a 150bhp car was a good choice. Then in the afternoon we moved to the 9000. Initially with 300bhp and in the later part of the day once we got more comfortable, 355 BHP. The 9000 was absolutely flawless, so super chuffed my track car build came out so good. We had a few good battles during the day. A Caterham was unable to catch us, and also a Renault Megane RS that was track prepared. This has got us hooked now so we will be back for more !.

The Astra SRi XP cleaned today, I know its just an Astra but it does look pretty sharp.

Decisions, Shall i keep the 1.8 iVVT Z18XER engine. With its Revvy nature and trick dual ram manifold that sounds like angry ITB's.
Or, Throw in a Saab B2x4 engine and take the Torque from 170 NM , to over 400 NM ?.
What would you do ?.

Looking for a performance Turbo for your SAAB 9000 ?.

Working with us here at The SAAB Clinic, Mamba Tek have modified their Turbo kit to ensure correct housing clocking, all the correct water and oil fittings to match those needed for a Saab 9000. And additionally they now include a 0.5 BAR spring for correct Base Boost setting. Which on all Trionic 5 Saabs must be 0.45 BAR +/- 0.05 BAR.

We are running this turbo on our 9000 CS-R Track Car. It offers superb Boost response, far quicker than even the T25 on low pressure cars. You can use this turbo as a simple drop-in replacement and run at factory power levels if you wish, or with correct mapping and fuelling this turbo can deliver up to 390/400 BHP.
